A favorite of many! A Charming and Beautiful cabin with real rustic split log construction with vintage decor and sweet surroundings! Amazing King sized oak bed and a very nice hot tub on a private deck. Flat screen and jacuzzi inside and a stacked rock fire place. Charcoal grill and fully equipped kitchen ready for a romantic meal together!
A cot is available for children or an extra guest. WiFi is available, a local and long distance phone and Direct TV as well. This cabin is about 2/3 of the way up our small mountain. The Resort roads are concrete. Front wheel drive vehicles generally do well most of the year. All wheel or 4 wheel is best in rain or wintery weather. Pick ups can be challenging to maneuver on the roads but if you're driving one, trucks generally benefit from weight in the back during inclement weather. Do not drive and drink at any time. Remember!! This is the Smoky MOUNTAINS!! Our cabins are NOT in flatlands and are beautiful and a bit of an adventure. If you're weak hearted or nervous, please look for a cabin that better suit your needs. Our Honey Bear Pause is low on the mountain and has easier access.

John and I have enjoying the challenge of getting our new business up and going. My family is from the hills of east TN and southern Kentucky. From the mountains of the coal mining communities and a one room cabin on the side of a mountain to the Atomic Energy city, my family has been in the area a long time and witnessed a lot of different eras. John is from a family ranch in Kansas and this year we will have been married 30 years. From the country life of home grown food, fresh milk and eggs, our families heritage has surely changed in the last two generations as it has in yours. In the busy-ness of life these days, it's so nice to step back and slow down. Reminisce and enjoy the more simple pleasures of friends, family, nature and wildlife. We thank our Father God for the many blessings we have and can take for granted everyday.

There's much to take advantage of in the Love Sweet. From an Awesome Hot tub for a great water message, quaint, private and romantic outside, inside bask in the jacuzzi, cuddle by the fireplace or watch TV.
A Covered porch the length and side of the cabin with a swing to enjoy together or a little alone time. You may want to grill or take advantage of the jacuzzi inside. The surrounding mountain atmosphere is cozy and comfortable from the hot tub or a dinner for two at the decorative dinette while enjoying music of your choice through Sonic Tap.

This cabin was more than we expected. Very clean and well furnished. Located on mountain side with great view and scenery. Owners made us feel very welcome. We will likely be returning next year.

My wife and I were looking for a place somewhat off the beaten path, we found it in Love Sweet ! It's a bit of an adventure getting up to but well worth it. Kimberly & John have a wonderful place, well kept and we will definitely be back. It is the perfect place for a couple and being in Townsend it's away from the busyness of the tourists in Gatlinburg. You definitely need either four wheel or all wheel drive and good brakes as well. Wonderful place
We feel the need to share our thoughts about our stay at "Love Sweet".
The cabin is Very nice and the CLEANLINESS of this cabin is to be COMMENDED.
A few issues that are concerning and effected our Spirits Greatly on this vacation.
The directions to this cabin weren't very helpful-Hairpin turns and steep inclines were confusing. Thus little signage arrows with cabin names to locate "ones cabin" would have been helpful. We had to backtrack to pool area twice and start over again with the printed direction in hand.
After finding this cabin we were not pleased with how steep the driveway to cabin was. Felt the need to back our truck only partly in and blocked back tire with sizable rock.
Everyday that we were at "Love Sweet" we'd get back to this cabin before dark as we were uncomfortable backing in at night. We curtailed all of our outings because of this.
We are considered seniors with no disabilities except slower and minor stiffness. With that being said, If your not physically fit for a jacuzzi or prefer showers then you will be disappointed with the shower as it is Extremely Small.
Please take note; We drive a full size 2011 truck, please consider a four wheel drive or a front wheel drive automobile when staying at Love Sweet.
Before our departure with one more night till our vacation ended the light rain began and we couldn't get back to our cabin in the early afternoon. The incline was very slippery and after many attempts to get to our cabin we became concerned for our safety. We were forced to backup and call the owners for advice.
Our decision to end our vacation that day wasn't a difficult one. With the help of John's jeep we cleared out our luggage and started our 10 hr. trip back to Florida.
Perhaps our concerns are frugal to people who live in this mountainous area.
We stayed in the Love Sweet Cabin. It was absolutely wonderful and would definitely stay there again!
Cabin was as described and once wot used to steep road fantastic
The pictures are exactly what we got! Very clean! We weren’t disappointed. Getting to the cabin was a little scary the 1st time but we got used to it (glad we had a rental). Other cabins right next to use and yet we felt so removed from the rest of the world. We enjoyed relaxing on the porch swing in the morning and evenings. Amazingly no bugs, its obvious Kimberley and John put a lot of attention in keeping this property maintained. No phone service but it ended up being a blessing! The bed is very firm not what we prefer. It was hard leaving this peaceful setting.
Townsend is definitely the quite side of the mountain which was what we were looking for. Access to anything we could have wanted was in Townsend (I suppose it’s less than a 10 minute drive to Townsend but I couldn’t tell you for sure since we never drove straight to town). The people are so peaceful and friendly. Every restaurant we ate at was good (the steak and trout dinner was a little disappointing but I won’t say the name). I will tell you not to miss breakfast at the Country Steak and Eggs (it’s only open for breakfast and lunch) great food and wonderful service. We sat on the patio and watched the Little River gently pass. (Country Steak and Eggs is behind the Black Bear Café which is good too.)
My advice to friends and future guests:
1) Pick up the motorcycle trail road map (we got ours at the Trailhead Steak House)
2) Pack a picnic lunch & snacks daily (no restaurants in the park but plenty of picnic areas)
3) Local restaurants have limited seating (after 6:00 you may have a wait)
4) Take the Foot Hill Parkway more than once (on a cloudy day you’ll see the blue haze and on a clear day after a rain you’ll see the layers of mountains on one side and the towns in the foothills on the other.
5) Get off the beaten path. On your way into Cades Cove take the Institute at Tremont turn, it’s well worth it! The road turns into gravel and dead ends so you’ll have to turn around and back track but few people (mostly locals) are on it. You’ll see a waterfall and the Little River untouched by tubers! Beautiful!!
It’s a trip we would do again!
We had a fabulous stay it is very quiet and private would definitely return in the future. The owners are extremely friendly and helpful you are made to feel like family during your stay and that was awesome!
