Originally part of a Maison de Maitre, the living and kitchen space is situated on the ground floor. There is a large bedroom with 2 single beds on the ground floor, 1 double bedroom on middle floor and a charming double room in the attic. The bathroom has a WC, bath with shower, bidet and basin. The living area, with its high ceiling, fireplace and wood burning stove leads onto the patio, which in turn leads on to the pool and garden. There are electric heaters throughout.

Beautiful holiday home in gorgeous remote unspoilt village. The perfect getaway whilst still within easy reach of the incredible cities of Carcassonne and Miripoix. Warm and friendly hosts with owner living close by. 3 storey accommodation well equipped for the 6 of us plus toddler. The mountain breeze welcome relief to combat the 36 degree heat. The pool is a tad cold for our liking but that is our only negative comment. Lac Caveryere a must visit spot for water sports. No idea where our 10 days have gone. Would definitely stay again. Car essential. Local wineries a must visit.
We have had a disappointing level of bookings this year but the above summarises why we think our holiday home is unsung !
We are delighted to have welcomed the Longe famille; always charming and courteous and they have looked after Minerve very well.We would be delighted to welcome them again as ideal guests.
The medieval village 'circulade' of Montclar, literally meaning 'Clear Mountain', is typical of the fortified French villages of the 12 century that would wind up elevated positions to aid defense in desperate times. Overlooking Stunning Vineyards, Montclar is the perfect retreat for those wishing for a quiet family break or to explore the heart of Cathar Land with its many mysteries and intrigues!
10 km South will find you the Medieval Market town of Limoux famous for the lesser known sister of Champagne, but equally delicious 'Blanquette' whilst the opposite way (15km) will lead you to the stunning Medieval Carcassonne Cite. Here you can take the whole family for themed events as well as a huge range restaurants and of course the city itself. With Festivals from the world famous firework display on 'Bastille' day to Opera, International DJ's, Musicals, Joustings and the Vibrant Art culture, there really is something for every taste.
with regard to the security deposit please let me have a separate cheque- 200 pounds is fine- which I will not encash unless there is aclaim.
