Ocean View House is a delightful 4 bedroom house close to the beach at Holywell Bay on the North Coast of Cornwall. Just a few minutes walk from the beach, Ocean View is furnished to high standards. A great conservatory has been built on the sea side of the house giving views towards the beach and out to sea. The lounge and 2 upstairs bedrooms have superb ocean views stretching over the dunes. The garden is a generous size and fully enclosed, so ideal for dogs and young children. There is a good size patio area off the conservatory with patio furniture.
Holywell Bay is just one of the most convenient locations in Cornwall. Besides the proximity of one of the best beaches on Cornwall's Atlantic Coast, there are miles of walking to be had along the coastal footpath and many attractions within easy reach because of the proximity of the main roads.
Please be aware during the summer of 2018, neighbouring houses are being constructed on a site to the rear of Ocean View. The site is not overlooking Ocean View and will not affect the use of the garden or its views. There may potentially be some noise disturbance during daylight hours. The prices shown account for potential disturbance.
Ground Floor: The front door opens onto an attractive entrance hall. Large cupboard with coat and shoe rack, highchair and 2 safety gates. Off the hall is a generous size lounge overlooking the garden with views stretching over the beach and out to sea, lightly carpeted with an open fire place. Lounge area sits 8 comfortably with 2 x 3 seat sofas and 3 additional easy chairs. Dining table can be extended to seat 8. The large conservatory is off the lounge, and has another dining table and seating area. The main Bathroom is off the hall and has a bath with shower over bath, mixer taps with shower head, toilet and wash basin. Bedroom 1 also off the hall, has a 6ft super king size bed (this can be separated into 2 x 3ft divan beds). There is a 20” remote control TV, clock radio, electric blanket, hairdryer, large built in wardrobe, chest of drawers and a bedside table all in antique pine. (There are 2 single duvets & blankets supplied, as well as a wooden cot and travel cot all in the wardrobe). Bedroom 2 off the lounge has 5ft pine bed, clock radio along with fitted wardrobe and a bedside table.
First Floor: Bedroom 3 has breathtaking views over the dunes and over the ocean. Wrought iron 4ft 6ins double bed with en-suite bath, toilet, shaver point and washbasin. There is a 20” remote control TV with white built in wardrobe, cupboard and drawers. Also a wrought iron bedside unit with clock radio, electric blanket and hairdryer. Bedroom 4 also has the same breathtaking views over the dunes and ocean. 2 x 3ft divan beds, additional single bed that pulls out from underneath, clock radio, wardrobe and 2 bedside cabinets. Facilities & Services
Heating is via night storage heating and an open fire. Fully fitted kitchen off the hallway with electric cooker, (Rayburn pictured but not working), fridge, dishwasher and microwave. Utility Room has sink, chest freezer, washing machine & dryer, iron & ironing board, as well as plenty of space to store wetsuits, boards, coats and boots etc. The sitting room area has a 42" LCD Freeview TV & DVD player. There is WiFi available at the property.
The night store heating, bed linen and towels are all included, but you will need to provide your own beach towels. All other electricity is on a meter. Regrettably no smoking is allowed. There are parking facilities for up to 2 vehicles at the front of the house. Up to 3 well behaved dogs will be permitted at the small additional charge of £35 per dog / week, although please remember that dogs cannot be left unattended in the property alone. There is a cot & high chair available. Please note that Ocean View is only suitable for up to a maximum of 6 adults and 3 children.
