This holiday home is a bright two-bedroom apartment on the second floor (there is a lift) of a modern building in the Old Town, close by the historic Royal Mile in the centre of Edinburgh. It is located right beside the green expanse of Holyrood Park. The apartment is within easy walking distance of the major tourist attractions, festival venues, shops, nightlife and transp connections.

The apartment is furnished to a high standard with a comfortable living room with dining area, a fully equipped kitchen, two bedrooms (one double with en-suite shower room, and one twin bedded), separate bathroom and central heating. The double bedroom has a king-size double bed. The bathroom is off the hallway and has a bathtub with shower over and WC. The living room has a two large sofas, and a corner window with views onto Holyrood Road.

Great Location

A spacious apartment in a wonderful location for touring Edinburgh. No car needed, everything is in walking distance from the flat. Numerous cafes and restaurants nearby when eating out, plus a small Tesco next door when you prefer to have your meals in the flat. The flat itself is very comfortable and clean. It was great having two bathrooms, and the shower is really powerful. Definitely recommend!

A great place to stay in Edinburgh!

My family of four stayed at Holyrood Apartment and we loved it! The location is fantastic - not only was it a block from the Royal Mile and two from the Palace, but there is a Tesco Express in the same block! This made life very convenient for grabbing supplies before heading out for a day of tourism. The flat was very cute, according to my daughters, and was spacious enough that some could stay up and watch TV without bothering anyone sleeping. Would recommend to anyone visiting Edinburgh!

Great Location and plenty of space to relax

We had a great stay at this apartment! The location was perfect for us as it was very close to the Royal Mile and Palace of Holyrood. Within a 5 minute walk there are stops for the hop-on hop-off bus which can take you up the hill to the castle and around Edinburgh (I highly recommend the Royal pass which gets you 48 hours on all the hop-on hop-off buses and express access into the Castle, Palace, and Royal yacht Brittania). There is a Tesco Express just a few doors away so it was easy to get the supplies we needed. There are a few small restaurants near by but within a 5-10 minute walk you have a large selection on the Royal mile. We only used the kitchen for breakfast and snacks but it looked well supplied with utensils etc. The owner Martin was very responsive to all our emails and requests, gave very good directions to the unit, and even mailed the keys to us in the USA so we could arrive on our schedule instead of having to arrange a time to meet up. He had left us a nice welcome package of goodies which we enjoyed as we settled in. It was a nice place to go back and relax after a busy day walking around Edinburgh. It is located near the University of Edinburgh but the students were on break while we were there. Just a warning about the city....the tour guides are correct when they say there are hills. Make sure to have shoes with a good tread as the sidewalks can get slick if it rains. We were very lucky with the weather but occasionally it would just start raining without warning and then stop just as quickly. Great city!
