This newly-remodeled ground-floor studio apartment opens onto a nicely tended garden and lawn, below the towering Goat Wall, in Mazama. It has an open studio floor plan with a full-sized hide-a-bed sofa and queen bed, full kitchen, television with DVD, and internet. It can be rented by itself, or in combination with the lodge, for larger groups.
In the summer, enjoy hiking, rock-climbing, mountain-biking and other outdoor activities. Relax in the evenings on the garden benches, enjoying the views, or take a stroll on the trail running along the back of the property. In winter, this MVSTA trail becomes a groomed cross-country ski trail that joins over 100km of other groomed trails in the 2nd-largest cross-country ski trail system in the country. For those who prefer snowmobiling, the Yellow Jacket Sno Park is just a few miles up the road.
Awesome natural setting, fully fenced yard, and great outdoor space. Stayed in the small cabin attached the the large. Plenty of room for a couple and our dog. So nice to be able to let the dog out without worrying about him disappearing. Large cabin was vacant, so nice and quiet. Very clean, bright space. Did have to go upstairs to turn the heat on (there is a small space heater downstairs but it was very cold when we got there) and turned back down when we left. Other note - there is a computer monitor sized TV - but that's not why you would go here anyway. Would definitely come here again. Owner was pleasant and easy to deal with. Wish we could have stayed more than 1 night.
Really enjoyed our time here. So quiet and the stars were amazing. We rented the studio connected to the main house and were the only ones there, so we played in the huge yard. About 2 miles from the Mazama general store. The view of the mountain was amazing. A few things didn't work in the place (oven, one heater and a few lights were out).
Such an awesome location and house. We stayed in the "Not so big house" which is a studio below the main house/cabin. Clean and nicely decorated. No one was renting the main house so we didn't have to share the property; it was so incredibly peaceful, just what we needed! The studio was missing some cooking utensils, kitchen and bathroom towels and such, but the owner had already informed us we could help ourselves from the main house so there was no issue at all. Wonderful large deck with a BBQ, beautiful lawn areas and landscaping; all fenced in and dog-friendly! One note: the fridge is set a bit high I think, when you check in, I recommend double checking the settings so your groceries don't freeze!
