The West Wing of Trevadlock Manor offers a step into history. From the ancient front door a flagstone floored hallway takes you through to the stunning living and dining room, with enormous Delabole slates on the floor and a granite lined open fireplace. There are historic features all around this beautiful section of the house and upstairs, there are two airy bedrooms with comfortable beds. The master bedroom has a kingsized double bed with a panelled bathroom and lovely balcony. The second bedroom has three beds and is served by a family bathroom.
Outside, the countryside is some of Cornwall's best and simply wonderful to explore on foot or on bicycle. The magical scenery of Bodmin Moor is quite unique. The peace and tranquillity of this setting belie its convenience as a holiday base.
Ground floor: The ancient front door leads into the hallway with the fully fitted kitchen to one side and through to the beautiful living and dining room. There is a spacious cloakroom with WC.
First floor: Stairs from the hallway lead up to the first floor. Master double bedroom with a 5' double bed and en-suite panelled bathroom. There are also french windows opening onto a delightful balcony with a table and chairs to enjoy a morning coffee in the sun. There is also a triple bedroom with painted wooden beds. Opposite is the family bathroom with an over bath shower.
Exterior: To the outside, there is a lawned area with garden furniture and a BBQ. There's access to over 20 acres of rolling fields with ancient trees, leading to the riverbank where you can even fish for small brown trout if you wish. For children, there is an enclosed play area. Beyond this area is a games room with pool, billiards, table football and table tennis. All bats, balls and cues are available as well as a seating area for those who prefer to watch. There is also a notice board highlighting local current attractions.
Facilities & Services
Heating is via oil fired central heating. The kitchen has a range of modern equipment. There is an electric fan oven and hob, a microwave, toaster, kettle, fridge, separate table top freezer, dishwasher and washing machine. Additional freezer space is available in a separate barn should it be required. The living room has a digital TV & DVD player. There is WiFi available at the property. There is an iron & ironing board.
Electricity, heating, bed linen, towels, tea towels and washing up equipment are all included but you will need to provide your own beach towels. There is private parking for a number of vehicles available. Up to two well behaved dogs will be permitted at a small additional cost of £25 per dog / per week, although please remember that you cannot leave dogs unattended in the property alone. Regrettably no smoking is allowed. There is a cot & highchair available upon request.
