I've never stayed in a holiday rental property where the owners live Nextdoor and I have to say that it makes all the difference. Lawrence and Becky are super friendly and helpful and because they are on site, it would be easy to get any issues sorted (we had none) or queries answered. Lana's Lodge is very well equipped with everything you could need to make your stay comfortable - it's spacious, lots of storage areas for your belongings, sinks in both bedrooms, two bathrooms, an enclosed garden (great with a dog!). It's easy to find in Mullion, which is a great base location for exploring the south west of Cornwall. Also Mullion itself has a couple of pubs (one dog friendly, one not), a mini market, a post office, chip shop and Indian takeaway plus you can walk to the beach at Mullion Cove (dog friendly), Polurrian or Poldhu (seasonal dog bans). Would definitely recommend this accommodation and location!

Lana's Lodge

Owners were very nice and flexible. Even during their vacation available and very helpful.

Wifi with very good signal. Sky available, too.

Lodge is equipped with everything necessary. We stayed with 5 adults with no problem.

Location is very good situated and all hot spots easy to reach.

Highly recommended!

Four nights in Mullion

Nice location and great access for all parts of The Lizard.

Very good amenities within Lana`s Lodge which made for a good comfortable rest after some breezy cliff top coastal walks.

We would thoroughly recommend Lana's Lodge, it was so comfy, clean and in a really great location. The cream tea on arrival was a great touch after such a long drive.

We loved our stay and would advise people to book this place if you can-you won't be disappointed :)

Lana's Lodge Mullion

  • 5 of 5

The welcome pack of cream teas was wonderful. The owners, Lawrence and Becky, were so friendly and acommodating and made sure we had everything we needed. The cottage was very spacious and suited our needs to a tee. The position of the cottage was ideal for exploring the areas around Mullion. The cottage was ideal for us as it is bungalow style, all on the ground floor.

I would recommend this holiday cottage to anyone interested in exploring the Lizard, or going swimming or surfing on the nearby beaches.

The Lizard is an 'Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty' and has some spectacular coastal walks. It is England's most southerly point and the highlights include early Spring flowers, the Lizard lighthouse, swimming and surfing from sandy beaches, delightful fishing coves, sailing on the Helford river, heather covered moors in Autumn, open gardens and National Trust areas, pretty harbour lights at Christmas, friendly pubs and good, fresh, local food! There are loads of places to visit and highlights include Lizard Point, walks along the coastal path, a visit to Trelowarren Estate, the fascinating Goonhilly Earth Station, Flambards is great for the kids and you can step into Cornwall's mining heritage at the Poldark Mine.

There are so many activities to choose from locally. You can take a boat trip across the beautiful Helford River and explore the gardens at Trebah. There are sea fishing trips from Porthleven. There is great diving on the Manacles and coasteering is available for the really adventurous. The Lizard is home to the Cornish Chough if you like a spot of bird-watching. The coastline has many pretty coves and beaches to discover, but you can find great surf at Porthleven or Loe Bar.

The harbour town of Falmouth is a must visit with it's restaurants, National Maritime Museum Cornwall and spectacular Pendennis Castle.
