Roof Tops has been developed by the Owners who live next door. This superb conversion has been completed to the highest of standards and features reverse style accommodation with the living room / kitchen area on the first floor to take advantage of the character of the old beams and the stunning views over the countryside to Widemouth. The Owners have converted Roof Tops with great attention to detail with wood flooring and granite work tops in the kitchen and en-suite shower rooms for both bedrooms. There is a cosy gas powered stove for the colder months. There is a great patio and a private garden area with a small lawned area. Both bedrooms have french windows opening onto the slate tiled patio.
Roof Tops is situated on the edge of the village of Stratton, a really peaceful location with countryside all around. Stratton has 2 local pubs serving excellent food and a post office, all within 5 minutes walk of the property. The village is just over one mile from the coastal town of Bude with extensive sandy beaches, sea swimming pool, leisure centre, surfing and a wide variety of shops, pubs and restaurants. There is also a range of golf courses in the vicinity. Stratton is a great base from which to explore many of Cornwall and Devon's attractions.
Ground Floor: Master bedroom with king sized bed, large wardrobe and large en suite shower room. Second bedroom with zip & link beds which can be set out either as a 6' double or as twin beds. It has an en suite bathroom with over bath shower.
First Floor: Open plan living / dining / kitchen area. There is a smart TV and bluetooth speaker in the lounge. Cosy gas fired wood burning stove. Please note that there are steps up to the first floor from the outside and also internal stairs with a stair gate.
Exterior: Enclosed fenced garden with slate patio and lawned area. Exterior furniture and Charcoal BBQ (please provide your own charcoal).
Facilities & Services
Heating is via central heating and the gas fired wood burning stove. The kitchen has a range of equipment. There is an electric oven and induction hob, a microwave, toaster, kettle, Gusto coffee machine, fridge / freezer, dishwasher and washing machine. The sitting room area and both bedrooms have flatscreen digital TVs. There is WiFi available at the property. There is an iron & ironing board.
Electricity, heating, bed linen & towels are all included but you will need to provide your own beach towels. One well behaved dog will be permitted at a small additional cost of £25 per dog / per week although please remember that you cannot leave dogs unattended in the cottage alone. Dogs are to remain on the first floor of the property only. There are parking facilities for up to two vehicles. Regrettably no smoking is allowed. There is a cot & high chair available and a stair gate at the top of the stairs.
