Avalon # 1 ...This two bedroom two bath unit is one block from clear water beach, shopping, pubs and restaurants . No pets allowed. Accommodates 8 people ... Dead end street .... All our units are non smoking. 3 real beds and one sofa bed. Taxi's and public transportation is close by, airport 25 minutes. The owner can be reached by phone most of the time... Interaction might happen at check in and check out. This beach site has something for everyone. Assigned parking, for one vehicle, is just outside the door to this unit at 26 Avalon St.

What makes this apartment unique

If the beach and local activities are what you are looking for, staying with us means that you probably don't need to rent a car. Transportation to and from the airport would be less expensive than a rental. Local public transportation will also take you to a PUBLIX Supermarket (appx 3 miles).

The location in proximity to the beach was amazing and rental unit was spacious for the seven of us!

Location: ***** (100 steps from beach and really don't need a car once there)

Owner Accessibility & Check-in Procedures: ** (Need to list a cell phone number on the site and state texting is okay. Check-in procedures are confusing and add stress to a vacation, and the last thing people want on a vacation is...stress.)

Bargain by the beach

The condo was a great value for what you got. It was not a 5 star condo, but we didn't pay a 5 star price. It was pretty clean. The kitchen was somewhat stocked with pans/utensils. We could've used a lot more towels. One tv only played DVDs, so we spent a small fortune renting every day. Only one light worked. But it was comfortable, well cooled, and had a nice patio area. The washing machine didn't work. There was an inch gap under our door that roaches and lizards could've come in, but luckily only 3 roaches did. I suppose my biggest problem was that Peter was nearly impossible to reach. He would send back one email to about 12 of mine. When we spoke, he was very friendly. He switched properties on us at the last minute. He did so with my neighbor as well. We ended up two blocks farther from the Pier and the pool and a block farther from the beach. This caused me to spend WAY more on parking than I would've had to. The extra blocks of walking was tough on my four kids. Peter DID make it up to me by giving us extra bedding and a partial refund.

Location, location and a parking spot!!

Steps away from white sand beach. Shower to de-sand yourself at the end of the block. Parking spot is with its weight in quarters. This condo is one of the few remaining pieces of Clear Water. Waste away in Margaritaville while you still can. Developers are likely sharpening their talons to dig into this final piece of paridise and put up a huge boring corporate hotel.

Nothing fancy great location!!!

We had such a wonderful vacation !!! This place was perfect, nothing fancy but the location to the beach and the town was just right. We didn't have a car for some of our time but everything we needed was in easy walking distance, especially the BBQ Fire joint on the corner for breakfast in the morning and then drinks and good music at night!

Quaint and Great Location

Four adults rented this house for the weekend and were impressed with it's location to the beach. It states the beach is a block away. However, it's only about 50 yards. You can see the sand dune from your living room window. Overall, it served us well for the limited time we were there. We appreciated the owner allowing a two night stay. Those are hard to come by and the price was very reasonable considering the alternatives. We especially loved being able to walk to all the downtown shops and restaurants. Being able to park right outside your front door was a plus too!

One must be cautioned however about the two queen bedroom. It's located on what appears to be an old porch so it is not well insulated and very noisy at night and into the early morning hours due to the road noise and a bar with live music across the street. The room would be fine for young folks who are up at those hours but more challenging for adults who want to sleep before 11pm on weeknights and 2:30am on the weekend. Moreover, it would have been nice to have the property address provided when given the entry code number to more easily find the house using GPS rather than searching the satellite image for cross streets.

We still say thanks for providing our family a great weekend get away!
