Brilliant vacation home with unique 360-degree view over the beautiful Catalan countryside.

In Central Catalonia, on a hilltop, the newly restored holiday home Can de Mateo has just been opened for guests. The house has room for 11 + 2 guests and the grand attraction is the unique location. In Can de Mateo you have the opportunity to enjoy a 360 degree view of the Catalonian countryside,framed by the Pre-Pyrenees rising in the background. We represent many holiday homes in this region, all with stunning views, but Can de Mateo beats everything so far.

You reach the house from the main road to via a small dirt road (3.5 km / about 15 minutes) which is the price one pays for the unique location. If you do not wish to drive on the dirt road with your own car, the house owners have a SUV, which you are free to use during your stay to drive up (they just have to be refilled before departure). Once up there, you enter a true paradise. Can de Mateo has almost park-like grounds of over10,000 m2 and there are no neighbours at all to disturb the peace.

In addition to the unique view the house owners have built a football and volleyball court, and in April 2015 a delicious swimming pool will be built, where you can lie and recharge while enjoying the surroundings. There is also an activity room with billiards, table tennis and darts and you will also find a Petanque lane and a really good Wi-Fi. With all these activities you will probably not need to have many reasons for searching for activities in the area? The house has also applied for the coveted European ECO-Label as the house uses solar energy and also plans to construct biomass.

Can de Mateo has been carefully restored in unerring style so that it appears super delicious and has all modern facilities. There has been put a lot of deliberation into the location of the rooms so that everything is convenient, thus ensuring a good setting for a very good holiday.

On the ground floor of the house, you enter a beautiful hall. To the left of the hall is the modern kitchen with freezer, oven, microwave, ceramic hob, dishwasher, espresso machine and even a draft beer tap. The kitchen has direct access to the large common room which has a beautiful Catalan refectory table (if you should want to eat in the shade for a day or two) and a cozy living room. From the common room's sliding doors you have direct access to the stone-paved terrace. The BBQ of the house is a bit further down in the garden. If you turn right from the kitchen you’ll meet the activity room, which probably will be the frame of some good hours, also for children in the group. Here are billiards, table tennis and darts.

To the right of the hallway are four of the five beautiful bedrooms in Can de Mateo. The four bedrooms are all doubles, three of which have bath ensuite. One of the rooms has direct access to the terrace. This floor also contains a further bathroom which is shared with the last bedroom on the top floor of the house.

On the top floor is a cosy lounge area, which is situated next to the triple room, which has three single beds. The room is ideal as a children's room and the small lounge will be excellent for use as a cosy corner for children in the evening.

Can de Mateo is a great choice of holiday house with many great activities, a high standard and a quite unique view. The only drawback is the 3.5 km. on the dirt road, but we are sure that it is certainly worth the price and you will probably not want to move much about when you live here,
