Some of our previous reviews:
'Jenny and Otis are warm, friendly hosts -- and they've created a lush oasis in the concrete sprawl of Los Angeles. It's quiet, relaxing, and very centrally-located. The funky design aesthetic and brightly painted walls make it a welcome respite from the bustle of the city.'
'If a peaceful, lovely, stay is what you are looking for, the Funkmeyer's place is for you. Jenny and Otis are warm and generous, the garden is delightful, and a peacefulness hovers over the property. Otis and Jenny's care for the earth and their attention to their space is truly inspiring. And they are really wonderful, creative, and respectful hosts.'

Interaction with Guests
We like to create the feeling of a community--but a community of people who come and go as they please, and interact as little or as much as they like.
Sometimes we become great friends with our guests and have even ended up working together! Other times, we just politely say hello and everyone goes on with their business.
We also travel a lot and tend to attract other busy people so sometimes we're around more and other times we're barely there at all. The same is true of our guests!
Either way, we do everything we can to create a very welcoming and homey feel at our space that will carry with you whether or not we see much of each other!
This bright & beautiful bungalow is located in a gated courtyard at the end of a quiet residential street, in the Mid-City neighborhood, which is wonderfully located in the middle of everything.
*Just a few minutes from the Culver City Arts District, LACMA (Art Museum), and the biggest tourist attraction in LA -- the Grove Farmer's Market.
* Nearby Venice & Santa Monica, downtown LA, Hollywood, West Hollywood, USC, and Beverly Hills.
* Five minute walk to a quiet city park, five minute drive to a large state park, and the wilderness just an hour's drive away.
The Mid-City neighborhood is primarily known for being centrally located, but more recently, actual attractions in the area have begun to sprout up.
Several gourmet restaurants (vegan Chic & Bloom among others) and our favorite coffeeshop Paper or Plastik, as well as a variety of theaters, venues, and private gyms have been sprouting up all over Pico Boulevard, which is just 4 blocks from the house.
If you just need a quick bite, Trader Joe's and Vons are nearby and there are 3 of the highest rated taco trucks in the city just up the street.
There are 2 lovely Farmer's markets just a few minutes away on both Tuesday and Thursday and there are art walks many Fridays in the Culver City Arts District which is walking distance away.
*3 blocks from the West LA Transit Center, with buses and light rail that take you to Venice, Santa Monica, Malibu, Hollywood, West Hollywood, Downtown LA, USC, Glendale, and Pasadena.
Other Things to Note
We really love high vibration spirited creative and joyful people!
We have a very peaceful environment and prefer people who are relatively calm and quiet. We like a high-spirited life as much as anyone we know--this compound is a sanctuary designed for simple living and high-minded thinking!!
We expect our guests to be very respectful of the house and everything inside of it! Very simple :)
There is no smoking on the property and for people who smoke, we ask that they go outside of the Moroccan gate which surrounds the property.
