Lake Front Cottage Sleeps 8

Don't miss out on reserving this beautiful cottage on a small, quiet and beautiful lake! Summer 2017 dates are starting to fill up!

"Someday Came" Cottage is on a quiet, family-friendly, fun recreational lake where all ages can enjoy swimming, fishing, boating and all water sports. With the cottage's close proximity to the waters' edge, you can enjoy both great views and the relaxing sounds of the water from both inside and out. Enjoy your morning coffee watching the loons and bald eagles from either the lakeside deck or from the dock. Spend your afternoon sun-bathing followed by a refreshing dip in the lake (no need to worry about weeds as the swimming area is treated for weed control). Finish off the day with a relaxing sauna, roasting marshmallows over the open fire, stargazing, and looking for the Northern Lights.

Someday Came Cottage is well appointed and decorated for your relaxation and fun. You will find a well-stocked kitchen with an ample supply of dishes, glassware, cookware, cutlery, wineglasses, towels, and other amenities. This cozy cottage comfortably sleeps 8 and all bed linens & pillows are provided. Bath towels are all provided as well. You will only need to bring your clothes, bathing suits, beach towels, food and drink!

From the lakeside deck, you can enjoy gazing out over the water and taking in the beautiful sunsets. The deck is furnished with dining table & chairs, umbrella, extra seating, and gas grill. Enjoy a cozy fire in the fire ring where there is an ample supply of firewood and additional chairs.

Enjoy your favorite water sport right from the dock. Swim, catch fish, kayak, canoe, paddle boat or rent the pontoon boat that is kept right at the dock (pontoon rental is $75 per day, 1st tank of gas included. **(New pontoon furniture will be installed for the 2017 season!). Enjoy a yard game of bocce ball, ladder golf, or "bean bag", all of which are provided for your enjoyment.

Although there is plenty to enjoy outside, you will also find plenty of indoor entertainment: TV, Satellite TV, DVD library, WIFI (country WIFI is sometimes unreliable), cards, dice, and board games. For the more competitive side of you, head to the "garage game room" and enjoy foosball, Ping-Pong, and pool.

This is the perfect destination for your getaway and is an ideal setting for couples, families, and girls weekends.

Contact owners if interested in bringing a camper/and or tents for an additional fee.

Please note that there isn't any public boat access to the lake but the pontoon boat is available to rent during your entire stay.

Available for rentals May 1- October 1.

Check-in time is 4:00 p.m. and check-out time is 11:00 a.m.

Again, please call or email us today regarding your vacation!

Wheelchair friendly and accessible. Ramped entrance.

Quiet, recreational lake, no public lake access (no boat launch area). Pontoon boat available for rent @ $75 per day, $300 for the week. Paddle boat, canoe and kayak included with the cottage rental. Cabin is well stocked and beautifully decorated. The garage game room has been very popular too!

This cabin has been in our family until about 20 years ago and when we found it on VRBO we couldn't wait to rent and visit it again! The place has been beautifully updated, is decorated is a fun way and easily accommodated our family of 7. We found the owners to be very attentive and thoughtful, they have every detail covered right down to a box of rice ready to go for any wet phones! There is so much to do on the property, we never had a dull moment or time for TV; it was wonderful!

We look forward to renting this cabin over and over again...unless, of course, it's ever up for sale then we look forward to the opportunity to bring it back to our family! ;) Thank you so much to Carol for putting so much effort into making our stay perfect, we are so happy this cabin is in your hands.

Beautiful home....very well appointed....great setting on quiet lake

  • 5 of 5

Super clean inside and out. Everyone enjoyed the variety of games. Kayak, canoe, paddle boat and rentable pontoon made days on the lake great fun. A lot of value for the dollar. Fairly convenient location to Duluth. We will definitely book a return trip. Thanks

Our stay at the cabin was great! We all had a great time and hated to leave.

  • 5 of 5

This is such a beautiful place to stay. When we pulled into the property it looked so relaxing and peaceful. The kids had a great time in the game room and out on the pontoon. Loved sitting on the deck looking out at the lake. Everything was provided, we just had to bring food and beverages. We all want to come back for another stay!

Someday Came

  • 4 of 5

Your cottage and surrounding land were very clean and well maintained. My Grandchildren enjoyed the sauna and garage game room very much. We all enjoyed the use of your different water crafts. You have everything you could think of to make our visit very comfortable. We love visiting Duluth, Canal Park, Spirit Mountain and Sammies' Pizza and Gordies in Cloquet. Thanks.

Heaven on Water

  • 5 of 5

Enjoyed 3 night stay at this very beautiful place......a wonderful piece of heaven on water!! Enjoyed the use of the pontoon, sitting on the deck enjoying the sun as it made the water sparkle as you watch the ripples, and having

fires in the evening. We even cooked over the fire as the owners provided a tripod for us when they knew we wanted to cook over the fire. How great was that!!!

I enjoyed this all with a good friend and my daughter and her friend.

Hope to stay again for a longer stay next time.

Thanks Rick & Cheryl for everything!

Memories from Maple Leaf Lake

  • 4 of 5

Having our four kids plus four son and daughter in laws plus a 1 year old could make for a tight setting, yet your Someday Came Cabin was workable for our stay up north. The setting is great and for those times when the baby needs to rest we took to the garage game room for a ton of fun. It also worked great as protection against a big storm that rolled through. Overall it was a great family experience as 3 of the 8 kids ran in Grandma's Marathon. Thank You for a great time. Cheryl and Rich are great hosts and even had parking downtown for the race.
