About the property

3 bdrms, each w/ensuite baths, open floor plan, steps to the beach & close town

Our Fire Island home is a fully equipped private oasis with a secluded backyard, manicured gardens, solar heated pool, it’s close to town and steps from the beach.

The single story sun filled house offers an open concept main living space featuring a living room, a dining room and a spacious kitchen with stainless steel appliances and a large counter top bar.

The three (3) bedrooms are roughly equal in size, each with an ensuite bathroom. One of the three bedrooms is adjacent to the pool. All rooms have heat and ceiling fans with skylights in the living room, kitchen and all bathrooms. The house does not have air conditioning, but it is rarely needed as we are steps from the beach and the nights tend to cool down.

The backyard retreat provides privacy, four (4) modern lounge chairs, a grill, outdoor shower and a new umbrella covered dining table that seats six (6).

The house also includes laundry facilities (washer and dryer) on the ground level.

388 Neptune offers its guests free wireless internet access and Direct TV satellite service. The house also contains a flat screen TV and stereo system with indoor/outdoor speakers.

The Pines, named for the beautiful wind-sculpted pine trees, is truly an architectural paradise and the largest community on the Island.

Our home is a fully equipped private oasis with a secluded backyard, manicured gardens, solar heated pool, it’s close to town (shopping and bars) and steps from the beach.

What makes this house unique

Fire Island Pines is located on the southern side of Long Island and boasts some of the most expensive real estate on all of Fire Island. Along with neighboring Cherry Grove, the Pines is predominately a gay community, where all are welcome.

The Pines is bordered by the Atlantic Ocean to the South and The Great South Bay to the North. To the West is Cherry Grove and to the East is the quiet community of Water Island. We are just a few minutes from the mainland via the Sayville Ferry Service. Once on board you will leave all your cares behind.

A perfect property

This 3 bedroom, 3 bathroom, open-concept cottage is located only minutes walk from the harbour and yet, due to beautiful landscaping and gardens, feels exquisitely private and remote. Everything was modern and well kept from the moment you walk through the gates to every detail on the interior. The hosts were very accommodating and available for assistance at a moments notice. We would highly recommend this property to others.

Pines Getaway

House was lovely, inside and out. The property is close to the ferry, bars, and pantry, and close to the beach (it's the Pines, so everything's close to the beach!) You can hear the surf from the backyard. The pool is heated and perfect size.

Randy was an excellent host; he met us when we arrived, gave us a run-down of everything, and was accessible for questions/issues. Can't recommend highly enough.

Convienent location on a lovely walk with a nicley landscaped outdoor area however..

We stayed here for seven nights in late August of 2016. The location of this property is great with just a short walk to the pier and the beach. As well, the outdoor area was very relaxing and nicely landscaped with a new pool that was a bit chilly but helped cool us down in the high eighties and ninety degree heat. Which leads me to the downside...if it is very hot out you'll need the pool as the house does not have air-conditioning. We were very surprised upon arrival when we couldn't find a thermostat as the house was extremely hot, even with all the windows and doors open. There is one ceiling fan for the kitchen, dining area and living room and it could not come close to giving any relief from the day time heat. The bedrooms all have fans but you have to keep all the sliding doors and windows open to get a breeze. It did cool down at night. Luckily the last couple of days the temperature dropped quite a bit (seventies) which made the house more enjoyable.

Granted the owner only mentions the ceiling fans in the house description and doesn't misrepresent the home, he just doesn't mention the lack of AC. There was also an annoying ant problem in the kitchen. We could not prepare meals without having to spray the counters. I've rented in Fire Island before for the entire season and ants can be a nuisance if not controlled...this was an everyday occurrence though. The house is in need of some updating but it was fine for a short stay. The owner supplies just about all you would need; towels, a fully equipped kitchen, several propane tanks for the BBQ, nice beach chairs, etc.

If you can't stand the heat and the ants then get out of the kitchen...and the house, and plan on staying in the pool.

A specious vacation on Neptune Walk fire island pines

The location of the home was a ideal , close to the ocean and harbor . With three couples , the three bedrooms ,each with private baths were spacious and gave the option for privacy when needed. With the solar heating the temperature of the pool was ideal , we used it daily. Enjoyed eating out doors especially with the great environment proved by the outstanding landscaping . After a day at the beach and swimming the outdoor shower was a plus. The kitchen was well equipped and the layout was adequate for several individuals working together on preparing a meal. Our stay for the week provided a positive and enjoyable experience.

Oasis in Fire Island Pines

An oasis! The great location in Fire Island Pines...near the beach; short walk to the harbor shops and activities...is perfect. The light filled house, grounds and pool are serene. Gorgeous flowers and plantings abound providing exceptional privacy. Living is easy with each bedroom with it's own bath and a well equipped kitchen. The owner could not have been nicer, more helpful and accommodating. Without reservations I recommend this sparkling sanctuary!
