About the property

A Beautiful Three bed Cottage, with Parking, Outside Space in a Quiet Location

The Hideaway is a beautifully restored three bedroom cottage, with parking for two cars and a large private courtyard in a very secluded quiet area of Hayle, close to all of the local amenities. The cottage is part of a small quiet development at the end of Millpond Avenue in Hayle.

The Hideaway is furnished to a very high standard, it has a beautiful large quality high gloss kitchen with marble worktops, which is fully equipped with everything you need to entertain at home.

It has a cosy open plan lounge so you can chat away to the people in the kitchen, it has a 50inch Smart TV with NOW tv and and a Cambridge Bluetooth Audio systems, which makes coming back and watching films a real treat!

The Hideaway has a lovely modern bathroom with power shower over the bath and underfloor heating. The master bedroom has an en- suite with lovely power shower and underfloor heating.

We provide all of the linen and towels and you will find a welcome pack on your arrival. We also have a fantastic housekeeper who is on hand to answer any questions.

The Hideaway has three large bedrooms two have double beds and one has two single beds. They all have blinds so you can get your sleep and they all have plenty of storage for your holiday clothes. There are two hairdryers at the property.

The cottage has a large private courtyard which is south facing so gets plenty of sun and is a perfect spot for either breakfast or a glass of wine in the early evening.

We have parking for two cars directly outside of the cottage.

The Cottage is in a fantastic location for exploring, West Cornwall with its miles of stunning sandy beaches.

We are in walking distance of Hayles famous seven mile stretch of beach, the Towans, this is a really fabulous stretch of beach to walk along and watch horse riders, kite surfers, surfers all enjoying the beach. There is a section of the beach which allows dogs all year. There is also the beach PorthKidney in Lelant on the other side of the estuary that also allows dogs all year round.

Millpond Avenue where the cottage is situated is a very picturesque road with a large pond with lots of ducks and swans, there are some lovely walks right from the front door which are perfect if you have a dog.

You can very easily walk into the centre of Hayle, this takes 5minutes, There is a pub at the end of the road The Salt which does fantastic food.The train station is a ten minute walk you can get the train, into St Ives. The train journey is absolutely stunning following the coast road into St Ives.

The cottage is perfect to cycle from as it is all on the flat, you can cycle to the many beaches, the outside Lido, or take the many cycle routes, a favourite of ours is cycling to the Quay House pub for a spot of lunch looking out at the Estuary.

If you don't take your bikes their is a great cycle shop in Hayle where you can hire bikes.

The cottage is so handy for the shops Asda, the best Fish and Chip shop, an Italian restaurant and the Salt which is a bar and restaurant which serves great food has a fantastic atmosphere and has live music. Its also a great stop for breakfast.

The locality of the cottage is really amazing and makes it so easy to explore Cornwall. The area is fantastic for walking and the birdlife in Hayle is second to none the Estuary which is home to lots of migrating birds is only a ten minute drive from the cottage.

About Sarah Andrews

We are a family that have been lucky enough to holiday extensively in Cornwall. As a child we always took our holidays in St Ives, and this is an area I love dearly. As I have had my own family we have ventured out of St Ives more, particularly as we have a much loved dog Charlie and we love taking him on the beach. We live in Bristol and try to get to Cornwall as much as we can as both of my daughters love the sea, both in summer and winter! Why Sarah Andrews chose Hayle

We have loved owning The Hideaway we have had lots of fun there and we have really enjoyed providing a holiday home that our guests have come and enjoyed.

We love the location as it’s quiet and relaxing it feels like a bit of a sanctuary away from things, and its soo comfy and cosy! What we love is how easy it is to access lots of different places really easily.

We love being outdoors and the area offers us lots of things to do from walking, biking, surfing, it really is a great spot for us as a family! There is so much to do and its great all through the year.

We love walking to the staion and catching the train to St Ives. Its a beautiful trip along the coast.

We love walking on the beach at Hayle along the Towans which is just such a huge expanse of beach with kite surfers, horseriders and surf schools all enjoying the beach! The crabbing off the sea wall is amazing you cant fail to catch lots of crabs!

We love getting fish and chips in Hayle they are amazing and while we wait we pop to the Salt on the opposite corner which is a really lovely bar that serves fantastic food, and has live music, well worth a pop in.

We have also done something new this summer Kayaking on the Helston River which was great fun with Koru Kayaking highly recommend it!

The cottages are great all year round we cant wait to walk the dog on the deserted beaches in the winter, then take the kids for hot chocolate!

What makes this bungalow unique

The cottage is in a really lovely quiet secluded spot, that means you really get to relax.

Having parking means coming and going is very easy, and we can walk across to the fabulous sand dunes which is a real treat.

The Towans at Hayle are incredible and there is a part of the beach that is open to dogs all year round which is really important to us.

We are also only a 15min drive from St Ives, although we love getting the train or the bus as its so quick and easy and we don't have to worry about parking! The train and bus stop is less than a 10 minute walk from the cottages.

We do lots of cycling as there are lots of cycle paths and its very safe and all on the flat. The kids also love the outside lido which is great for a morning swim!

The area has so much going for it whether you are a walker, a surfer, a bird watcher, a cyclist, an art enthusiast there really is so much to see and do, and then come back to our beautiful cottage to relax.

  • There are two beautifully finished bathrooms. The main bathroom has a bath and power shower over the bath with glass screen, toilet and wash basin. The main bathroom is quite large and very comfortable. The second bathroom is an en-suite to the master bedroom and comprises of a power shower, wash basin and toilet. Both bathrooms are brand new. The bathrooms have underfloor heating.

  • There are three bedrooms attractively decorated. The master bedroom has a beautiful ensuite with Power Shower, Toilet and Wash Basin. It also has a TV. The second double bedroom has access to the outside courtyard through French doors. The third bedroom has two single beds. All bedrooms have wardrobes and plenty of drawer space for holiday clothes! The linen is provided for all bedrooms. There are hairdyers in two of the bedrooms and large mirrors in all of the bedrooms. We also provide white towels for use in the house.

Notes:
The Cottage is in an excellent location to makes the most of all Cornwall has to offer. It is in a perfect spot for the road network. There is so much to do and the cottage is a little haven to return to so peaceful and relaxing we love it!

Perfect.

Great location, good transport links and very easy to get about but tucked away in a lovely quiet street. Very well equipped cottage/bungalow. Lovely modern decor with high spec tv/internet etc which made the children happy! Godrevy beach and Mutton cove on the doorstep which is a must if you are in the area, Kynance cove and St Michaels mount just a short drive away and well worth a visit. This has to be the best property we have stayed in since using Owners Direct by a country mile. Great communication with owner and an affordable price! The added extras on arrival were a lovely touch too. Thank you.

Clean, comfortable, good location. The perfect getaway!

Loved everything about this cottage. It was clean, comfortable and well-equipped. Within easy walking distance of Asda, excellent fish and chip shop and bakery. There were plenty of dog-friendly beaches within a short drive even though it was July so our golden retriever had a great time too. 15 year old daughter loved the extra large TV with connections to YouTube, BBC iPlayer, Netflix etc.

The Hideaway was the perfect getaway for a week of beach walking, visiting National Trust gardens and relaxing as a family.

Stunning and very comfortable, a beautiful home from home.

A fab property in a great location. It really is a holiday hideaway. Great facilities and lovely decor. The private terrace is a lovely addition for al fresco dining after a day at the beach. The two bathrooms make everything a little easier when six of you need a shower! The welcome pack and milk in the fridge were a nice surprise too. A gorgeous house which I would visit again! Thank you for having us! 😊

This must be the best place I’ve ever stayed in. Absolutely spotless and very comfortable. Everything from the furnishings to the cutlery and crockery was top class. Sarah the owner was easy to contact and very friendly. Hopefully we will be back someday. Well deserves my five star rating 😃😃

stunning cottage

we had a lovely stay in Sarah's cottage. It was pristine an a home from home with lovely bed linen, immaculate bathrooms and really fresh but cosy atmosphere.

I can imagine it would be a perfect cottage for a summer holiday - where long days will be spent on the beach. It was a little cramped for a family of 5 that includes three growing teenagers with big coats and wellies on wet April days.

But it was a lovely place to spend a week and I would recommend especially if you like to be a short walk away from a town with a major supermarket and a handful of restaurants.

This is an incredible part of Cornwall with lots to see and do for all ages. Right on Millpond Avenue where the cottage is located there is a lovely walk, the Millpond Trail where its possible to see lots of wildlife including a colony of turtles. Very close to the cottage are fantastic beaches, Hayle, Towans Beach and Godrevy Head. The beaches really are spectacular with large sand dunes and huge expanses of beautiful clean sand, I love walking our Tibetan Terrier Charlie here. There are lots of activities such as surfing and kite surfing, there are a couple of surf schools if you fancy riding the waves! You can park at the National Trust Carpark and take a short walk to Mutton Cove where you may be lucky enough to see the seals. You can hire bikes in Hayle and there are lots of cycle routes that are great for familys. The George V Memorial walk is a great one as its a lovely flat walk alongside the estuary and on Sundays the road is closed so its really safe for young children. There is also the outdoor pool right alongside the walk so you could have a lovely dip when you finish the walk. Theres lots of other activities from golf, to karting and there is the very popular Paradise Park which is excellent for families. There are lots of lovely pubs and restaurants to chose form and a pasty from Philps is a must!

This is a great base to visit other areas such as St Ives, Marazion, Penzance, Falmouth and many more. The parking at the cottage is very easy so coming and going isn't a problem.

This is a great spot to visit at all times of the year as the scenery and wildlife are everchanging!

The location of the cottage is very quiet and relaxing, we love it!
