Hummingbird Haven/Cozy Log Cabin/Skiing/Free WiFi

Felt like an authentic mountain cabin experience, very cozy with antique furniture and rustic interior.

Found property to be as posted online. If i were to build one this would be my desire. Small, comfortable for a great getaway. Lighting could be brighter for Seniors. Took a while as to what light switch worked witch light. But no real big issue. Close to town, not close to river as shown online. We stay from 10/11 to 10/16/19. Would like the cabin on my own property. Would recommend it to anyone that's wanting a wonderful vacation in the mountains. Will have no problem of revisit in the future. Very quiet area for anyone wishing a relaxing stay to do nothing. Definitely give it a 2nd and 3rd look before saying no.. You will enjoy if you like a quiet and relaxing do nothing, reading a good book vacation.

ENJOYED OUR STAY. THE HOUSE WAS AS WE REMEMBERED AND VERY COMFORTABLE, WELL STOCKED AND A GREAT LOG CABIN FEELS.

My girls and I really enjoyed our stay at Hummingbird Haven! Since this was my first time using VRBO I did not prepare well. I left the paper with the entry code at my house, and had to call the owner, who was out at a restaurant. Nevertheless, she was very quick to help us get into the cabin (I had no cell signal and couldn't pull up my emails so this was a challenge!). We really had a very nice, relaxing stay after the initial panic! The hummingbirds did not disappoint! I suggest making nectar as soon as you arrive so you won't miss any time watching them! The neighborhood is quiet, there is a beautiful pond/lake that is a quick walk to and around, as well as access points to the river within walking distance. The balcony out back is comfortable and has a stunning view for sunrises and sunsets. The stars are absolutely stunning on a clear night, I saw more of the milky way than I've ever seen before! You may want to bring a small fan for the loft area. My girls couldn't agree on whether or not to leave the loft balcony door open, so it mostly stayed closed at night, although if left open I think it would be perfect! Pagosa Springs is a quick drive down the highway, easy and fast to get to grocery stores or restaurants. A LOT of shopping opportunities in town as well. We really loved our stay and have NO complaints, it was just what we needed to hit the reset button on "real" life. You cannot beat the quiet, the scenery, or the location, especially if you love to hike and fish. I cannot say enough about how nice it was and how kind and patient the owner was when we interrupted her dinner due to our own bad preparations! Thank you Mary, we can't wait to return to Hummingbird Haven again, it was the perfect getaway! We appreciate everything!
