The River Amber flows through the village which is well known for the Ashover show in August and the festival in September.Ogston Reservoir is just 2½ miles away where guests can enjoy water sports, birdwatching and fishing. Both Matlock and Matlock Bath with its cable car ride to Abraham Heights is only 3 miles, where you can tour the Mining Museum or walk alongside the River Derwent. Why not take a drive to Crich Tramway Museum, Chatsworth House, Bakewell or Haddon, which are all well worth a visit.
