Cute little casita. Two bedroom one bath. Old historic adobe home in the heart of Old Mesilla, NM. Close to many charming shops and an old Catholic Church central to a plaza that plays host to many festivals and celebrations through out the year. Just a short walk from the house to the plaza. Plenty of cute little eateries also in walking distance. A short drive away is Las Cruces, a picturesque town in the heart of the Rio Grande valley. Lots of hiking, climbing, four wheeling, bicycling and other activities readily available.
We have lived in Las Cruces for many years and have enjoyed many excursions into Old Mesilla ourselves. We bought this home in 2013 planning to use it as a getaway ourselves and then decided others might also enjoy the experience. We have been in the rental business since 2002. We look forward to sharing our love of this area with our guests.
This is a lovely little property that is suited to so many purposes. Get away for a weekend, spend a week or a month in our beautiful sunny climate. It would also make for a very cozy and intimate honeymoon setting.
This home features a beautiful and cozy outdoor area perfect for relaxing, dining or enjoying an evening under the stars.
We loved the house. So very nice and cozy. We loved sitting in the living room later at night and just talking about the day's work and events.
It is great being right in Mesilla. Such a small town relaxing attitude.
Lots of places to eat and drink. Our favorites were: The Bean coffee place, and St. Clair Winery and Bistro. Really good wines.

The Casita is just like the pictures and the location could not be better. Mesilla is a wonderful community and it was great fun to walk to movies, restaurants, church and shopping. All within several blocks and all very charming. Joe and Kaye were just great and very accommodating. You won't regret staying here!
This two-bedroom casita could comfortably accommodate four people and is luxurious for two. Bother the interior and courtyard have charm.
My sister and I rented this casita during Christmas week so we could visit with family in the area. We really loved being so close to the plaza (just 1 block away) and were very satisfied with our stay. The house is on a very quiet block, tastefully decorated, clean and comfortable (good beds!). Kitchen is well-equipped -- we had everything we needed. Do not hesitate to stay here if you are looking to stay in Old Mesilla
We completely enjoyed our stay at the little casita in Mesilla. It was everything we hoped it would be and more. It was so nicely decorated and gave a true welcoming southwestern feel. The home has what you need day to day in the kitchen and the bathroom is nicely stocked with towels. We did a bit of cooking while there and found what we needed to prepare and serve meals. Also found cleaning supplies to clean up after ourselves which was appreciated. The king bed was comfy and we slept very well during our stay. I thought one night we would be kept awake by the festival but the house was incredibly quiet. We used the second bedroom to store all our gear which for us worked perfect, though there is a queen bed that looks comfy. We watched a couple movies on Amazon, the tv worked well once we figured out it needed to be unplugged, perhaps it just needed to be reset. By far the best part of the casita is the courtyard, we spent most of our time sitting outside enjoying the birds and the activity of Mesilla. There is lavender growing in the courtyard which made it smell heavenly for our entire stay. There are other lovely plants as well and I could smell sweet blossoms off and on. The entire home is gated which we really appreciated on behalf of our pet and the entire Mesilla area is very pet friendly. There was much to do and see in Mesilla within walking distance and so many great places to have a very good meal. I believe we attended the first ever Pecan Festival during our stay which really was fun. I have already recommended the home to our friends and family looking for a lovely place to stay during vacation time.
We really enjoyed our stay. The home is updated, well maintained, and clean. The internet worked perfect as did everything in the home.
The area is quiet, yet full of activity just a few block to the plaza for great shops and restaurants. We very much enjoyed the home's decor that enhanced the experience of this historic southwest neighborhood.
If you love Mexican food, this is the place to take advantage of several spins on the passion. A must is Andele's restaurant, which serves a personal favorite version of Heuvos Ranchos where they add a green chili white cream sauce that is "to die for".
Thank you again, Kay and Joe, for a wonderful place to call home for our visit!!
