About Rona Saurin
I grew up in central Scotland in the outskirt suburb of Glasgow - Bearsden. I was involved in various guises in the Catering Business. I married in 1982 and moved for a short period to Frome, just outside Bath. We now live on the Clyde Coast, in the village of Inverkip.
Rona Saurin purchased this Apartment in 2015
Why Rona Saurin chose Saint Monans
We have always had a strong infinity with the East Neuk of Fife having taken our first family holidays when the children were very young. The Fifie is just a stone throw from the harbour. Yards from local shops and Restaurants - and the people are so friendly. While away parts of the day by sitting down at the harbour and just watch the tide come in and out - or the 'coming and goings' of local fishing and sailing boats.
What makes this Apartment unique
Being so close to the Harbour and Coastal Path. St Monans is a small cottage community centralised within the beautiful area of the East Nuek of Fife. Whether on foot, car or via public transport all the surrounding villages are accessible

I would not review this place
We are very sorry you feel this way. This review is based on the fact that there was a power cut mid week during your stay. An emergency local electrician was arranged within the hour that day but was unable to determine the problem. The apartment was left with full heating and lighting, but sadly you decided to check-out anyway. A full electrical check was carried out the next day of all the wiring and sockets. There was no fault and the electrical system was given a clean bill of health. The professional synopsis was that a suspect electrical item had probably been used that provided a surge to the electrics thereby tripping the power. Since this incident there has been two rentals with no problems.
Absolutely loved it, brilliant property.
Absolutely loved it, brilliant property.
We had a great February weekend in the Fifie. The flat had absolutely everything that we needed, the log burning fire and hot water bottles were a real treat. The kids found the toys and were delighted! We also fell in love with St Monans and the other surrounding villages, such a friendly area. We will definitely be back!
Really glad you all enjoyed yourselves in the St Monans and the East Neuk. Look forward to seeing you back sometime.

perfect family holiday
We had a fantastic time in St Monans and The Fifie was an excellent base.Such a comfortable and well equipped home ,it just made our holiday complete. We spent our days exploring the costal path and local villages, visited St Andrews and Falkland, whilst our teens enjoyed fishing and pier jumping literally a stones throw from the flat.At the end of the day it was a pleasure to come back to The Fifie as it was so cosy and relaxing yet spacious enough for a family of five!
Lovely flat in ideal location
Really enjoyed our stay here. It is a lovely flat with plenty of space for the family. Only a short walk to harbour and beach. Would have loved to stay a bit longer.
Nice to have met you on your departure. It seemed that you all thoroughly enjoyed your stay at the Fifie. Would be pleased to welcome you back sometime in the near future.
