Mountain Views From A Spacious, Newer Home

Outstanding newer home just minutes from Rocky Mountain National Park. Relax on the deck and enjoy breathtaking views of Twin Sisters and Estes Cone. Don't expect to enjoy the views alone - deer, elk and a variety of birds frequently visit. If you are feeling more active, walk out through the backyard and pick up the Prospect Mountain hiking trail to enjoy a 360 degree view of Estes Park, RMNP and the Continental Divide.

The 4 bedroom, 3 bath home includes a spacious open living, dining and kitchen area. Don't worry about going over your checked bag allowance because the home has a laundry room with newer front loading washer and dryer. Directv, wireless internet service, and local calls are also included with your rental.

When you aren't exploring Rocky Mountain National Park, the town of Estes Park is just 3 miles away. Enjoy shopping, restaurants and bars. Most weekends, you can head down to Bond Park to enjoy one of the many festivals. Visit the Stanley Hotel to see for yourself the inspiration for The Shining, or head to the hotel's whiskey bar to sample one of the best selections of whiskey in Colorado.

Summer might be the most popular time to visit Rocky Mountain National Park, but all four seasons have something special to offer. Summer opens up the whole park for hiking, driving over Trail Ridge Road, or flyfishing. Fall is a photographer's heaven with the spectacular autumn colors and the elk bugling all through the park and downtown. Winter opens up a new playground, with snowshoeing, cross / back country skiing, access to the Eldora ski area, and no crowds.

Why Heather chose Sunny Hills

In 2013, my wandering brought me to Estes Park for a couple of months and fell in love with Rocky Mountain National Park. RMNP kept a special place in my heart as I continued to move around and live out of a storage unit. When I decided it was time set down roots somewhere, Estes Park was the only town on the list. Until I can enjoy my home full time, I invite you to make this your home base for your vacation and I hope that you fall in love with Estes and RMNP like I did.

What makes this house unique

The close proximity to RMNP and Estes Park. The views from the front porch. Being able to walk out my door, and enjoy a 1 hour hike to the top of Prospect Mountain without having to set foot in a car.

Great vacation house

This is a great house with great views of peaks and valleys. The house is really nice inside with plenty of space and loads of amenities. We enjoyed spending time every day on the porch watching wildlife and nature. And star-gazing off it at night - including several shooting-stars each night we were there. Quiet and relaxing.

Beautiful Home and neighborhood and only minutes from RMNP!

My family really enjoyed staying at this beautiful well kept home. It was just minutes away from the busy streets of the town of Estes and beautiful RMNP. The home is in a great quiet neighborhood and surrounded by beautiful rock mountains. Heather had some great suggestions for things to do and was always quick to reapond to any questions. We loved coming back to this place to wind down after a long day in the park. My son loved the downstairs area with his own private room and bathroom. We enjoyed watching the mule deer around the yard and the barn swallows on the front porch. We definitely recommend to other families or couples wanting a get away.

Comfortable home, great views, convenient location

My family and I (six total) stayed nine nights here. We had a wonderful time. The views from the kitchen, dining area, and living room were great, looking towards Twin Sisters and the tip of Long's Peak, with the light on the mountains continually changing in the course of the day. The kitchen was modern, very well equipped, and very functional--we mostly ate in and had everything we needed at hand, including a new gas grill. The location was great: you could take Mary's Lake Road to quickly arrive at the Beaver Meadows entrance of RMNP, avoiding downtown Estes Park, or take CO 7 and the U.S. 34 by-pass to the Falls River entrance. Slight reservations? The internet was somewhat slow in the evenings and the fourth sleeping area (a sitting room with a trundle) was not entirely private (it had French doors with curtains). The other three bedrooms and three baths (including a huge master bath) were very nice. (The photos are all accurate.) The location was quiet... deer and elk meandered by almost everyday, bright green swallows frequently flew in an out of the birdhouse on the deck, and a trail up Prospect Mountain begins almost directly behind the house. It's lovely and practical.

Owner's Response: Joe, Thank you for your review and for sending suggestions to me that could benefit future guests. I'll be adding some items to the home for the upcoming rentals. The internet is very slow. It's slow everywhere in town and in the peak summer months, with lots of people accessing, it gets even slower. I use a local company and pay extra for "fast" internet. I will look into if there are any better options in the market and if an upgraded router will help. I will go back through my photos and my description to make sure that the third bedroom upstairs is properly depicted. It's not my intention to oversell that room as I don't want anyone to be disappointed upon arrival. Again thanks for the review and the suggestions. Every suggestion helps me provide a better rental for future guests.

A short drive and you are in Rocky Mountain National Park, with hundreds of miles of hiking trails, backcountry campsites, wildlife viewing, snowshoeing, cross country skiing and backcountry skiing. There is something to do year round. The town of Estes Park features a festival most weekends, a beautiful downtown with restaurants and shops, and Lake Estes where you can go for a jog or rent a paddle boat.

Cancellation Policy: Cancellation of more than 45 days prior to occupancy will result in a full refund, minus a $250 cancellation fee.

Cancellations within 45 days of the start of the rental period will result in forfeiture of the rental amount, absent The Owner being able to rent the property to others. In instances where the property is fully re-rented to others at the same rental rate, The Guest shall be entitled to a full rental refund, less a $250 re-rental fee.

The Guest may purchase travel insurance to protect from potential loss due to cancellation.

In case of a cancellation, the refund for CSA Property Damage Protection insurance ($79.00) will not be by The Owner. The Guest shall contact CSA for a refund.
