A lift from the car park takes you the front door entrance to the cool ‘Salt’ lobby. From there, you collect your keys and then take the lift to the 2nd floor. Once inside the apartment, you are struck by how much attention to detail has been invested in the building itself and the furnishings. A most attractive dining table to sit 8, a 55” Apple TV with Blu Ray DVD, a Bowers & Wilkinson Zepplin air sound system not to mention how well equipped the kitchen is from its Smarter Coffee Maker to the Berndes roasting tin. You will not want for anything.

The views are far-reaching across St Ives Bay to Godrevy Lighthouse which, from your private balcony with dining set for 6 just off the kitchen or the front balcony with two tables and four chairs, the master bedroom or the open plan living area you will marvel at the beauty of the St Ives and its coastline.

The elegant master bedroom has a super king size bed, a 39'' TV with Blue Ray DVD, a spacious wardrobe, the most beautiful views and a luxurious bathroom with his and her wash basins, shower, WC and complimentary luxury toiletries. The second bedroom has a king size bed, en-suite with shower room and further luxury toiletries. Patio doors from the bedroom open out onto a sheltered patio with table and chairs (where better to take a morning coffee on a sunny morning?). The third bedroom is a large room with twin beds that can also become a super king size bed for a third couple. This room also has patio doors leading to the patio to take in the first day light. The twin room is next to the family bathroom with a bath, shower over, wash basin and WC. With underfloor heating the apartment keeps a comfortable temperature throughout but you can always adjust to suit your needs using the thermostats. There is a utility room housing a washer/ dryer, hoover, ironing board, iron, clothes dryer but perhaps best of all is the electric BBQ that can be wheeled out to the balcony, plugged in using outside sockets and ready to use in an instant.

The heart of St Ives with all of its restaurants, bars, shops and galleries is no more than a 10 minute stroll away with Porthminster beach being your nearest place to swim or perhaps try Stand Up Paddle boarding,while away some hours in a kayak or snorkelling. The harbour is close by for boat trips and places to sit and eat outside. For the surfers in your family, Porthmeor beach is a 20 minute stroll from the apartment where you pass the harbour and walk through Downalong (Old St Ives). Number 8 Salt is close enough to the town to feel part of its lively and fun vibe yet retreat to the peace and tranquillity to relax and spend an afternoon snoozing in the sun if you want to take it a little easy.

So if you are looking for elegance, luxury, home comforts, parking for two cars, modern technology and peace then Number 8 Salt, St Ives has to be top of your list.

Lovely apartment in a quiet area of St Ives

Outstanding

This apartment has the wow factor from the moment you walk in. It is immaculate, and everything you could possibly need is in it! The kitchen is fully equipped with all the utensils you would have at home and much more. The beds were so comfortable, and the fittings are extremely top quality.

The view was gorgeous from the lounge, kitchen, and master bedroom. a nice stroll into St Ives which took about 10 minutes, perfect spot for a perfect holiday!

We will definetly return very soon!

Perfect location - wonderful view of the Bay and Hayle towens - the apartment was spotlessly clean - very comfortable and had everything we wanted for the weekend - the purpose of our visit was a wedding reception at the harbour hotel so it was absolutely perfect 😊 The only criticism was the lack of bins to recycle bottles/ cardboard etc

Much Better than the Pics. Would stay there again. And again.

We originally had planned on going to Dublin for holiday, but my Dad has Alzheimer's, and was having a problem with the hustle bustle of big cities. This is a one-level, 3 bedroom, 3 bath apartment home, with beautiful views of the sea, and of the sunrise. Everything you could need for comfort is there, including a washer/dryer combo (one unit). We typically washed and air dried in the laundry room. They don't show the the other two rooms in the pics, but they are of a good size, and are very attractively decorated. The home looks to be professionally decorated, in a soft, modern style which I found appealing. There are also loads of walking trails near the property. My only recommendations are 1) get a new peeler (the one in the unit is dull) and 2) give better instructions on lowering the parking stick that prevents someone from parking in your space. Very minor comments, our stay was awesome and I would stay there again in a New York minute.
