About the property

Hillcrest is on a no through road, so this most prestigious terrace is very peaceful and offers fabulous views over Copperhouse Pool and Hayle Estaury capturing its tidal changes. Riviere Towans beach which stretches 4km to Godrevy Lighthouse is a 500 metre walk directly from the house taking you past the quiet harbour along North quay. The beach is perfect for families with toddlers that need shallower safer waters but also for those wanting great waves for perfect surfing conditions.

Hillcrest is impressive from the inside out. With wooden floors throughout this magnificent house, it has two reception rooms, a spacious and well-equipped kitchen, 4 bedrooms, three brand new bathrooms, a detached wet room and beautiful enclosed gardens. There is a front garden laid to lawn at the front of the house and, across the peaceful street, a parking area for up to 4 cars plus enough room for a picnic bench to enjoy the gorgeous views over Copperhouse Pool and the Estuary.

As soon as you walk into the first reception room, you are hit by the sheer space on offer yet each corner of the room has been furnished to create a cosy feel. Light the wood burner in winter months and curl up with a book and some tasty Cornish treats, there is a large dining table with 5 chairs and a bench for family gatherings and a leather wing back chair for some contemplation or just watch your family have fun around you. The second reception room has ample sofa space, a 55'' TV with sound bar, BluRay DVD and PS3. Patio doors lead off this room to the terrace and tiered gardens. Each of the reception rooms have views over the Estuary and the pool. The kitchen has a large fridge and freezer, a dishwasher, stainless steel worktops, an 8 ring gas range with double oven and larder cupboards. The owners cater for young families by providing children's cutlery and plates, a steriliser, mini chopper/ blender, stair gate, high chair, travel cot and child's loo seat.

Upstairs are all 4 bedrooms; a master bedroom with king size bed and en-suite shower room, a double bedroom with views over the Estuary, a twin bedroom also with Estuary views and a further twin bedroom. All have black out blinds with the master bedroom enjoying remote controlled Velux black out blinds. There are a further two bathrooms, both brand new and modern; one has a bath with shower over and the other has a large walk-in shower.

Outside is a another shower being the wet room which is perfect to come straight into off the beach to wash off the sea salt and sand. It also has an utility area with sink, work tops and a Bosch washing machine.

Hillcrest has private and enclosed gardens which are soaked in sunshine all day long but don't worry, shade can be found on the lower terrace with its picnic bench and, if you fancied having a BBQ, there is more seating on a higher tier capturing the evening sunshine. Hillcrest is ideal for families or friends sharing, it's equally perfect for couples or smaller parties wanting some space and a sense of 'being spoilt' ( a discount may apply for parties of four or fewer). Hillcrest accepts one well-behaved family dog where house rules apply!

Shopping and sight-seeing information:

Hayle has a large supermarket called Asdas, a large Co-op and a Lidl plus, less than a mile away, at the West Cornwall Retail Park there is M&S food, clothing and cafetiere, Next, Costa Coffee and Boots (Their pharmacy is open between 07.30 to Midnight every day except Sunday which opens at 10.00 and closes at 22.00). Cornwall's best beaches are all within walking distance from Hillcrest with Riviere Towans being the closest which then joins Mexico Towans onto Gwithian Towans all famous for kilometres of soft sand and great surfing conditions. Across the Estuary is Porthkidney Sands which is dog-friendly all year round and can be reached by car within a short 5 minute drive where there is free street parking.

You can reach St Ives by car or water! It is a 10 minute drive away or better still give a chartered boat a go between Hayle and St Ives to avoid parking headaches. Walk down to Hayle harbour then catch the boat across the bay into St Ives harbour! Perfect for a hassle-free day trip. Phone 07786 782352 for details and booking. Marazion and St Michael's Mount is a 10-15 minute drive which is right next to Penzance, Newlyn and an extra 10 minutes to reach and park up in Mousehole.The A30 is conveniently close to Hayle so reaching other areas of Cornwall is made easy.

The house is perfect for a family get together. The furniture is of very good quality. It has everything you need for a comfortable holiday in walking distance of a beautiful beach. I can't wait to return.
