Old Boswednack is a single storey barn conversion with enclosed garden is designed to offer you a real home from home holiday experience and is perfect for families or for couples wanting to get away from it all and just relax! If you love walking, then Old Boswednack can't be better placed to offer a lovely combination of coastal walks or head up to the moors to enjoy the delights of Men-an-Tol, Zennor Quoit or the Bodrifty round houses. The whole area is steeped in evocative history as well as being close to St Ives, St Just, Newlyn, Mousehole and Penzance with their beaches, shops and restaurants. Due to its rural location along the West coast of Cornwall the dark skies offer spectacular displays of stars and galaxies so is special whether day or night.
The granite building has been finished using some warm reclaimed materials creating a cosy and welcoming charm in almost every room. The open plan living, dining and kitchen give a real sense of togetherness we all want when relaxing on holiday. The wood burner is the bosom of the room tempting you to curl up with a good book and regroup your thoughts and energy or, when the weather is hot and sunny, the paved terrace is a real suntrap where snoozing to the sound of garden wildlife leaves you feeling refreshed and tanned! There is a 'shack' in the garden which is furnished in a minimalist, scandi style with calming tones of whites and greys. There is a wall full of books to enjoy, soft seating and a reclaimed wood kitchenette so no need to head over to the main house for refreshments. Back to the main house, there are two bedrooms; a king size bedroom with small en-suite shower/ wet room and looks out onto the garden. The twin room is at the other end of the house just off the living area with two single beds, the bespoke shelving is made from reclaimed timbers said to be salvaged off an old ship. The family bathroom is between both bedrooms and has a bath with shower over a programmed heated towel rail and charms of reclaimed wood. The house has electric central heating with radiators in all rooms. There is parking for two cars on a gravelled area next to the barn. There is free WiFi throughout the house.
Your dog is also very welcome to stay at Old Boswednack and we have done a pretty good job in enclosing it even for the best houdinis! (Obviously we can't account for all dogs so bring your longest lead just in case!)
Please note - if you are bringing along your pet, we will need to know their age, sex and breed. There is also a £25 per pet fee per week. There is a maximum of two dogs that can stay at this property and our terms and conditions apply.
