About Nigel Miller
This is a family home which has been in my family for many generations. I inherited the house upon the passing of my Father, as it has been in my family for many generations I decided to hold onto the property so that it can pass to my son.
Why Nigel Miller chose Wick
Crofting is a unique system of small-holding found only in the Highlands and Islands. It dates back to the 19th century and refers to the land rather than the house upon it. This particular croft has been in my family since 1850, and was last lived in in its original form by my father and his parents up until the 1960's. Upon my grandfathers death the croft passed to my Father you substantially improved the property including building an extension so the original part became the bedrooms. Situated on top of the cliffs with stunning views North, East and South it is a real 'get away from it all' location.

Loved the view when we woke up in the morning! Quiet and peaceful.
Came away for a quiet weekend and that is what we got. Friendly neighbour came round with a neep and tatties, which went down a treat! Nigel always responded to my constant emails! If ever up that way again will definitely book this place.
The most beautiful holiday home
The property was absolutely amazing. Welcoming, spacious and absolutely lovely in both interor and views. We had a great time - the cottage is perfect as a base for exploring Caithness as well as providing ample room for relaxation and quiet evenings in. Thank you so much! We'll definitely be back!
Lovely remote cottage overlooking the sea. Fantastic area for seeing sea birds.
The cottage was clean and had all we needed. Some might find no wifi a problem. We enjoyed the break!
Dear Steve, I’m really pleased you had a good stay. Your comments echo those of other visitors and it’s certainly nice to hear such positive comments. Hope to see you again in the future.
Great location for walking and exploring the local archeology and history of the area. Situated right on the end of a lane just near the cliffs and beautiful outlook over the sea. Fantastic views and heaps of local history. Ideal for seeing John O Groats just 17 miles away and easy access over to Orkney and the route 500 across the top of Scotland. Lots of walking available along the cliffs with information points on most walks to keep you informed. Recommended for anyone who enjoys the outdoors and finding things out for themselves about the local area.
Lovely accommodation. Very clean and had everything we needed.
Visiting family on our annual trip. Very clean and tidy accommodation would stay here again.
Quiet, comfortable cottage with a beautiful view. Lots of history surrounding the cottage and The Haven. We had a lovely stay.
