Steve's Old Cow Shed, Dale End Farm
Zoe and Steve Blair
About Zoe and Steve Blair
Steve and Zoe purchased Dale End Farm in December 2015, after a whirlwind year including our marriage and later the birth of our daughter. The renovation started in February 2016 with the support of local tradesmen and materials. It was completed in May 2016 after an intensive restoration programme. We have a black poodle dog called Rupert, 3 alpacas called Pedro, Pablo and Alfi.

Half term family break
We had a lovely stay here over the October half term. The property was perfect for us (family of four, two girls aged 5 and 3.
We were out most days exploring the beautiful surroundings- in youlgreave, bakewell, eyam, over haddon, castleton, matlock baths etc.
The peak district scenery is stunning. We had some lovely little walks and there is plenty to see and do.
We stayed in Steve's cow shed. We had Percy the peacock and his family visiting our doorstep regularly, the girls loved seeing the chickens, ducks and alpacas, and the lovely dog. The girls also played in the playhouse which was great fun.
The place is small but perfectly formed with everything you need. Including wifi and Netflix!
We would definitely stay again when visiting the area.
Beautiful property, stunning location
This property is beautifully decorated and easy to feel at home in immediately. Very well equipped. We got there quite late and in the dark but the lights had been left on for usso it was welcoming and easy to find. The owners were easy to contact and replied quickly. Handy directions we're sent out a few days before. The only down side was weather related... we sadly had rubbish weather and for 4 adults, a 4 year old, a crawling/cruising baby and a full size Labrador the living space was a little too cosy for me for the amount of time we ended up staying inside...but this is very much a personal thing as I prefer space!! This shouldn't take away from what is otherwise a really special find.
Thank you for your review. I am so sorry you couldn’t get out and enjoy the area it has been awful the weather. The other cottage would have suited you better for space as although only 2 bedrooms the living space with children is much bigger.

Lovely short stay
We had a lovely stay in Steve’s cottage with our two young children and also two friends. So much to do in the surrounding area and the children loved the animals!
We had some decent weather so could take advantage of the BBQ but also plenty to nearby when the rain started too!
Perfect! Excellent location. Easily found with Steve and Zoes directions. Would defo stay again. Grandkids loved the alpacas, hens and geese etc.. Could not fault this place.. Kaz
Peaceful Part of the World
My family met up for the weekend at Steve’s Old Cowshed and loved the location. We enjoyed sitting in the garden with the animals to keep my grandson’s attention. The walk up Gratton Dale was very pleasant. Fortunately the weather was good most of the time so we could sit outside, but we all fitted nicely in the living area when it rained and at night. Would love to visit again.
