Why Amanda and Derek Cornes chose Walford
Little Howle Farm is located in the hamlet of Howle Hill, close to Ross on Wye. It borders onto an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and is minutes away from the Forest of Dean and Symonds Yat. The countryside around Howle Hill is simply stunning and the views over the Wye valley are breath-taking. The farm itself was built of local stone in the early 1800's. We instantly fell in love with the place and have spent 3 years converting the barns and renovating the farmhouse.
What makes this Barn unique

Great time at Little Howle Farm
Very high standard and Amanda is a great host.
Beautiful property, everything you need for a short get away. Would love to return in the future. Thanks Amanda
Arriving late on Boxing Day evening, I received the friendliest welcome ever. Amanda even helped me in with my bags, there was wine in the fridge and it was toasty warm.
I stayed in Acorn cottage, the smallest one, which is perfect for one or two guests (the pictures on the site are a compilation of all 3 cottages which I hadn’t realised). Everything is top notch and the bathroom in particular is stunning with a very deep bath and separate specious shower. The attention to detail in everything from decor, equipment and little extras is the best I’ve encountered.
Little Howle Farm is easy to find, even in the dark, and it’s a good base for visiting Herefordshire, Gloucestershire & Monmouthshire. Lots of info in the cottage on walks, things to do and places to see.
The internet TV is excellent and I enjoyed hearing the cows in the morning.
I can definitely recommend this tucked away idyll and hope to return.
Really lovely place to stay, highly recommended!
