Recently re-furbished to a high standard this ground floor annexe apartment includes parking and is situated next to the beautiful Byes Park. Only a 5-10 minute level walk to the beach, shops, restaurants and pubs. Comfortable double bedroom; spacious shower/wet room; living-room with well-equipped kitchen area, including halogen hob, full-size oven, microwave and washing machine. Large flat-screen TV and good WiFi connection. Small shared outdoor courtyard area with table and chairs. Owners live in main house and are happy to help if needed. Well-behaved dogs welcome by arrangement. Good wheelchair access.

Sidmouth is a charming Regency town with an unspoiled seafront and many individual and interesting shops. There is a large, sandy beach at low tide and access to the South-West coast path - the visitor is spoilt for choice for beautiful walks and fantastic views of coastline and countryside. Good bus links to Exeter, Lyme Regis and other neighbouring towns. Facilities in Sidmouth include a swimming pool, an independent cinema and a theatre.

About The Owner

Deborah and John Chadwick have lived in Sidmouth since 2008 and moved here to be near the sea and to enjoy the wonderful countryside of East Devon. They are keen walkers and have a slightly crazy dog who likes walking too. They live in the main house behind the annexe where they run an alternative health clinic. Deborah is an aromatherapist and John is an acupuncturist, incorporating energy medicine into his treatments. John also works part-time as a pharmacist in nearby Seaton. They are happy to help with information about local amenities, walks, events etc.

The Owner purchased this apartment in 2008

Great apartment and place to stay

The apartment was very clean indeed, very well equipped and very warm. Just a short stroll into town with a good choice of places to eat. Ideal location to explore the surrounding area. We would highly recommend it. Peter and Cathy - April 2017.

Perfect!

Almost don't want to tell anyone how lovely this little gem is, so that it remains available for our next mini break in Sidmouth!

Perfect location, perfect accommodation and the lovliest hosts too!

We simply don't have anything negative to say!

Stayed with my husband who is in fragile health and our little dog, we even had sunshine in April!

Great little get away

The place you stay is an single floor rear extention to a large victorian house on the main road into Sidmouth. To find it you have to turn off just before the house into Lawn Vista (a small one-way street). Car parking is signposted on the right. The annex is 3 rooms - lounge/kitchen, bathroom and bedroom. It is very clean and modern. Everything is there that you would need, whether staying for a weekend or a week. Really good free wifi, 4K TV and Bluray player. there is a bookcase with a selection of DVDs, books and maps of the area. there is also a pile of leaflets about the area. You can easily walk into town in 5mins and although it is downhill its not very steep. There is a Tesco Express about 200 yards away. At the rear is 'The Byes' a really lovely park, for walking, cycling and dog walking. Great if you need to take the dog for a walk, but you will need a torch at night as there is no lighting. We stayed with our dog and it was great that apart from a few shops and one pub we were allowed to take her in everywhere (very different to where we live!). You are also only 10 mins from a Waitrose store on the edge of town to get supplies (well you're on holiday so treat yourself). I highly recommend this property.

peacefully blissful

We arrived to be greeted by Deborah the owner. A brief explanation as to where everything was before she left us to it. It was immaculate, bright, fully equipped, spacious and quiet.

The town centre is within 10 minutes walking along the Byes 100yds from the apartment. This is a lovely walk away from the main road though you can walk that way if you wish.

If you really want to get in the car a short drive will get you to the Donkey Sanctuary which is well worth a visit.

The Swan Inn is a quaint pub serving homemade food with a good pint. You will pass it on the way to the beach - took us 5 minutes.

Getting to the apartment from the M5 took us no more than 30 minutes. Off street parking literally a few feet from it, all flat, and lovely owners.

Shops were surprisingly varied and good with a wide range of places to eat and drink.

It is worth walking along the promenade to Jacobs Ladder and enjoying a cream tea along the way.

We just came and went on our stay and will definitely be going back. I think the photo doesn't do justice to what is inside the single level apartment (not a criticism but it really is immaculate inside). As a couple we wanted a bit of peace and quiet and that was what we got. Add the Byes, the seaside, shops and a local pub nearby and you have bliss.
