Oak Ledge is located in the small coastal town of Brooksville Me. Home is on 5 acres with 600 ft of medium bank waterfront. Deck offers sunset views and overlooks the Bagaduce River. Fully furnished with a BBQ grill. 2 Bedrooms, sleeps 4 with one king and two twin beds. Both bedrooms open to a lower deck overlooking the water. Full bath downstairs plus washer and dryer. Main floor has full kitchen with breakfast bar, open living/dinning room and 1/2 bath.
This property was our home away from home for four weeks in the summer. The photos can't do it justice - it has a magnificent balcony deck where we ate every meal, soaking in gorgeous views. The interior is roomy and cozy, and there are carefully tended flowers and herbs in the garden (at least in the summer). The owners have kept the place up very well and have thought of everything one might need. We found them to be very kind, generous, and accommodating, yet unobtrusive.
We enjoyed every minute and would definitely come here again. The surrounding community of Brooksville was also lovely. Be sure to check out Bagaduce lunch for delicious Maine seafood and Tinderhearth for awesome pizza! Both are only minutes away. The only slight drawbacks were that Oak Ledge is at the end of a mile-long dirt road which isn't in great shape (but was not a problem for our sedan in the summer) and the backyard path to access the water is still very minimal - it might pose a challenge for older folks.
Steve and Lisa are outstanding hosts. Oak Ledge was the perfect spot for us to celebrate our 1st anniversary. The views cannot be described. The home is very peaceful and comfortable with all the amenities that you should need. Weather it be spending a night out by the camp fire or relaxing on the deck with wine in hand, you cannot go wrong here. I highly recommend this home to any family, couple or small celebration group. A little over an hour drive to anything in Acadia and about 15 mins to the local town. We even had the pleasure of having our dog with us who loved all the trails, waters edge and endless nature around. Must not forget all the lobster you can eat anywhere you stop!

My family with two young children stayed here for a week. We had busy days traveling and exploring the area and this was the perfect home to come back to. The views are awe-inspiring, especially at sunset. My family enjoyed playing outside and going down to the river. The home itself was peaceful and comfortable and great for our family. It was a very relaxing environment.
The first thing you see as you drive over a slight rise and drop down to the house is the water and sky framed by beatiful trees. You feel the stresses of your journey just melt away, and feel like you are coming home! The home is so comfortable inside, and watching a sunset from the deck while an eagle flies overhead - we didn't want to go inside, but once we did we slept deeply, waking to birdsong in the morning. We didn't want to leave...
