Very well equipped cottage with everything a family or large group of guests would need. Very cosy rooms and plenty of bathrooms. Coal, logs etc can all be purchased at the garage/shop at the junction with the main road and which is open 24/7. Excellent local community pub with simple menu but very well prepared food. We negotiated parking with the pub so as not to upset the next door neighbour who, according to the visitors book, actively dislikes and resents living next to a holiday rental cottage!!! Although we did not encounter him the comments of other guests were most uncomplimentary and this made us somewhat wary! Fabulous walks up to Bamford Edge with magnificent views over Ladybower reservoir further complimented by the bird life on the moors.
