Accessed via a quiet country lane the cottage is ideally positioned for making the most of the outstanding natural beauty of the Peak District. Set within its own spacious grounds guests can enjoy seemingly endless green spaces. Situated on the edge of the village there is a local pub for kicking off muddy boots and relaxing after a day spent outdoors. The nearby historical spa town of Buxton offers a great spot for culture at the opera house or a gentle stroll along the Georgian Crescent. The farmhouse style kitchen is full of character with granite worktops and a large dining area for entertaining. An Aga style cooking range and wooden floors provide wonderful warmth and character to the room which is equipped with all the necessities for guests during their stay. The kitchen leads through to the spacious lounge which also has wooden floors and exposed beams giving the space an enchanting country atmosphere. There is a log burning stove and an inglenook style fireplace which makes a feature of this charming room. A door opens out onto a sheltered patio courtyard area which leads through to a ground floor bedroom annex with beautiful vaulted beam ceilings and a double bed with an en-suite bathroom containing a shower hand basin and toilet. The annex is heated by electric convector heaters. A games room is located down a flight of stars from the kitchen and contains a pool table and table football for keeping groups and families entertained. Back in the main house there is a second sitting-study area located just off to the kitchen and from which the stairs lead up to the second floor. Upstairs there is a master bedroom with a king size double bed an en-suite shower room with a shower toilet and hand basin. There are two more bedrooms on this floor that both contain double beds and have sloping ceilings that give them a real sense of cosy cottage charm. There is also a bathroom on this floor which contains a bath toilet and hand basin and at the end of the landing there is an open staircase which leads to the eaves of the house. At the top of the stairs the fifth bedroom contains two single beds nestled in the eaves of the old farmhouse. Outside there are spacious grounds for guests to enjoy including a BBQ and garden furniture for some al fresco dining.
