Beautiful and homely
We LOVED our stay!! The house was beautiful and cosy, and the bed was so comfortable and warm at night. We had everything we needed for our stay and I would definitely recommend it
Thank you so much! What a lovely review! Hope to have you to stay again x
Ok but needs a bit of TLC. The microwave needs replacing, the internet is slow or non-existent.
Ok but the internet is slow or non-existent, the DVD player was not working. The bed was lovely. A good base to explore the area.
Thanks for taking the time to give us a review. We will certainly look at replacing the microwave if you weren't happy with it, and the DVD player is working now. We had a short period where we think a guest may have mistakenly taken a cable home with them and had to wait three weeks after ordering the wrong replacement for it. Our silly fault. We can't control the internet given it's an old property with thick walls and a rural village but fibre broadband is being installed to the village as we speak, which is great news. Glad you enjoyed your stay, and yes , the bed is super comfy! Thanks
Lovely wee cottage set in a peaceful village
Had a lovely holiday with my partner and two dogs. Cottage has everything you could need including tea and milk 😁 The garden at the front isn’t huge but more than enough to let the dogs out when sitting relaxing. The village is peaceful and the local pub serves excellent food and is dog friendly too. Would certainly recommend for a short break.
A Pennine short break
An enjoyable short break enabling us to satisfy our ambition of walking to High Cup Nick and visiting lovely Appleby. Stable cottage was very adequate and peaceful, apart from the nearby noisy 24 hour cockerels!! We also discovered the wonderful Smardale Gill Viaduct.
Lovely well equipped, charming cottage
The cottage was well equipped and furnished. There was a bottle of wine to greet us together with milk, tea etc. There were also lovely extra touches like hand cream provided. As you walk in the decor is charming with co-ordinating cushions throughout.
Lovely little property for our short break.
Excellent value for a small property in a pretty rural village. Advertised as pet friendly but no lingering evidence of animals. Just a nice place to chill together.
Thank you so much for a lovely review. Hope to have you visit again. Thanks Harriet
