Photos and Description of this 3 bedroom holiday home in Babb - Flattop Mountain Inn

3 BR/3 BA home on 10 acres.Views of Glacier National Park and Milk River Ridge

Enjoy panoramic views of Glacier National Park and the Milk Valley from the privacy of our home. The house sits on 10 acres and we are located only 1.2 miles from Many Glacier Road which is the only road into the Many Glacier Region and only 8 miles from St Mary (Going-to-the-Sun-Road). We are also less than a mile from Chief Mountain Highway (Highway 17) which runs halfway through the Blackfoot Indian Reservation and Glacier National Park. This scenic highway crosses customs at the Port of Chief Mountain and continues to Waterton International Peace Park and the Prince of Wales Hotel.

You can kayak, swim and canoe down the St Mary Canal which runs along our our property. You can watch Grizzly and Black Bears , Elk, Moose, Wild Horses, Bald Eagles, Golden Eagles, Osprey and Deer while relaxing on the deck or in our large kitchen and dining area. The views from the house are breathtaking!!!!

Nearby attractions include the historic "Many Glacier Hotel". Construction began in 1914 and was finished in just 1 year on July 4, 1915. The Great Northern Railway was establishing a series of hotels and backcountry chalets in the park and the Many Glacier Hotel was the "Gem of the West".

Hello Travelers!

I am originally from St Augustine, Florida. I came to Glacier in the spring of 2013 after accepting a position as the Location Manager of the St Mary Lodge and Resort. This was a seasonal position lasting only 4 months but I fell in love with the area and the people that lived out here so I decided to say goodbye to city life and make Babb (Glacier) my new home. I have not regretted a single day, even when the temperature reached 50 below.

KIMBERLY SOLANO purchased this house in 1967

Why KIMBERLY SOLANO chose Montana

We love this house because of the wonderful views of the mountains in Glacier National Park and also the wonderful views of the Milk River Ridge. We can see Divide, Single Shot, Flattop, Red Eagle and Yellow Mountain.

What makes this house unique

I love the views from our home. It is peaceful. We are not bothered by the sound of traffic and city noises. We are surrounded by the mountains in Glacier National Park and the Blackfeet Indian Reservation. Sitting in our dining room or out on the deck we witness Grizzly and Black Bears, Moose, Coyotes, Foxes Golden Eagles, Bald Eagles and hundreds of Elk migrating in the fall and back in the Spring.

Quiet and well presented home close to Glacier National Park an

Kimberley's home was presented beautifully and had information to help plan our time at the National park. The place was spacious and clean with lots of room for the kids to run around outside. It is quiet and very peaceful. The location is very convenient, being on the quieter side of Glacier National Park but a very short drive to the wonderful Many Glacier valley and St Mary's entrance. We would have loved to have stayed longer and would recommend Kimberley and her home to anyone else thinking of visiting the area.

Owner's Response: Thank you for choosing our home for your vacation at Glacier National Park. It was a pleasure hosting you and your family and I am glad that the children enjoyed the yard and our horse. I loved the beautiful bouquet of wildflowers that were left in the house. We would love to host you again if you ever come back to Glacier National Park.

Great Place and Great Location

  • 4 of 5

The owners were very friendly without being intrusive. The house has everything you need in the kitchen. The beds are comfortable and there is plenty of living space for a large group. It is clean and situated close to Glacier, both the Many Glacier and St. Mary entrance. The property is kind of off the beaten path so there is a great deal of privacy. The owners had provided guidebooks binoculars and just about everything you could think of that you might need while staying at their place. .We would certainly not hesitate to stay there again.
