About Kerry & Pam Bell

Pam & I have owned this 'Treehouse Treasure' since 2005 and have enjoyed so many memories of the greatest times with family and friends. We use the property often as well as donate the property to our church, the Veterans, Alzheimer's Association, and the Esophageal Cancer charities. When you read our more than 35 Five Star Reviews you will see why so many folks love this place as much as we do. Come and visit us!

Kerry & Pam Bell purchased this chalet in 2005

Why Kerry & Pam Bell chose North Georgia Mountains

Big Canoe is a very large resort so many visitors want to be close to the amenities. The Tree House Treasure is located within walking distance to the main amenities of Big Canoe, including the the state of the art fitness center, indoor and outdoor pools, beach, water slides, indoor and outdoor tennis facilities, Community Center and the Chapel. Our "Tree House" is one of the closest properties to all these wonderful amenities- only 1/2 mile to all the fun, and if you want to get a little exercise you can do! Many properties in Big Canoe have very limited parking, some 3, 4 or 5 bedroom have only 2 parking spaces! However for you and your guests while visiting you will have the convenience of 5 to 6 parking space at our location!

What makes this chalet unique

Our Tree House offers privacy, great views, and a very close in location. Walking distance to the main amenities and a 3/4 miles form the Marina. Our huge deck sits above one of the main deer pathways and they (and wild turkeys and an occasional bear) walk by on a daily basis. Sit on the deck with your morning coffee and watch the sunrise between two mountain peaks.

Guestbook comments from the owner

We purchased this lovely & unique mountain getaway to escape the hectic city life and enjoy the beauty of Big Canoe. Privacy yet all the amenities within a mile. Our first stay was incredible as are all of our visits. Unfortunately we have jobs, school for the kids, soccer, choir, church functions, music lessons, tennis, track, wrestling, PTA, etc. etc. Fortunately, for our guests to be, this offers open calender time. Take advantage of our busy schedule and make your reservation. We're sure you'll love our secret hiding place!!

Great Vacation!!!

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I spent our 15th wedding anniversary here. Everything was nice and well kept and has everything you need for an enjoyable stay. The location was great. We enjoyed dinner at the Black Bear Pub, went to the outlet mall in Dawsonville, went to the Apple Festival in Ellijay and went to Amicalola Falls!!!! We had our "baby" Gracie (our dachshund) with us and she enjoyed it all as well. We had a great stay and would definitely stay here again.

Peaceful, Relaxing Getaway

  • 4 of 5

The Tree house treasure was truly perfect for our family of four. Our kids are teenagers so it was great to enjoy a cabin that allowed us to be close together. The cabin is small, it worked well for us though. The owners had everything available to cook a meal-outdoor grill, spices, lots of dishes, pots and pans.

The scenery was everywhere the eye could see-it was peaceful, beautiful & break taking!

We loved the porch- it gave us a place to talk & relax while the kids were watching T.V.

We saw deer but no bears, that was fine with me! It's a secluded area but there are other cabins all around to give a feeling of the safety of a neighborhood.

If you have small children, you might want to be careful for the winding staircase that goes downstairs. It could be a hazard for little children.

I would recommend the Pontoon boats-the River surrounded by the mountains is gorgeous! It was a gentle ride, so serene!

The Black Bear Pub had awesome food, it was great! The scenery is out of this world! Beware though, they charge a club fee! Our meal was $53.00 and they charged a club fee of $9.00. It was a little surprising.

Overall I give it 4 stars- everything was perfect for us-no problems! But we felt a 5 star would require the cabin to be more up to date and require remodeling. However,

We have no complaints! It was a perfect, peaceful vacation!

Owner's Response: Hello Stephanie- The "Club Charge" is the gratuity as you will see in many restaurants... they just add tip. You can add a little more if you get great service but you don't have to. Hope that explains it for you. Thanks again for the great review. Kerry

Great for guys get away weekend

  • 5 of 5

The Tree House Treasure was a great place to hang out with my son and grandsons! We enjoyed the hiking trails and rented a pontoon boat to fish. The amenities at Big Canoe were right up our alley. We also had a great time exploring the area including waterfalls, rock slides, and visiting Dahlonega. This is a beautiful part of the country!
