About Brian & Andrea Cordell

We have owned the property since 2007, but just built the cabin in 2014. The main reason for purchasing this particular lot was because of the snowmobile trail (S51) going through the property. The fact that it is an ATV trail in the summer months was an added bonus. It has always been a dream of mine (Brian) to have a cabin right on the trail system, and to finally realize that dream is quite a blessing. God is good!

Andrea and I have three children 18, 21 and 23. We are looking forward to spending time with friends and family at the cabin for many years to come.

It is our desire to provide a cozy get away for you to spend time with your family away from the hustle and bustle of the day to day rat race.

Beautiful Cabin! Great location!

  • 5 of 5

This cabin was absolutely perfect and definitely has more than enough room to sleep a large family! They definitely maximize the use of space and the decorating was charming. The furniture is all very comfortable and there was no complaints about the beds. The pictures in the ad showed the house exactly as we found it.The only thing we would have changed was to have more lights outside. We had a wonderful time this weekend We will definitely return.

Nice size, good location

  • 4 of 5

We had six guys at the house fly fishing for Steelhead. House is comfortable and the open floor plan works well. We were within 15 minutes of where we wanted to fish so travel times were minimal. All appliances worked and having two full baths was a plus.

Very private and comfortable, however...

  • 3 of 5

This cabin is not large but offered plenty of room for our party of seven. It is a very nice place. That said, there are two things to know that you won't learn from the property description.

1. Broadcast Television is not good.

The purpose of our stay was to fish all day and relax afterwards with post season baseball and regular season football on TV. The television reception was not well supported by wifi and proved completely unreliable. If watching sports on TV is important at all to you, you will be disappointed.

2. No firewood is provided.

While there is a very nice fire pit in the yard, we were unable to enjoy this great feature. There is no list at the cabin suggesting where to buy firewood locally.

I am not trying to take shots at a great vacation home with these two observations. This specific information is important to me in a lodging search and I hope it is of use to others.

Owner's Response: Ron, Thank you for choosing our cabin for your fishing vacation and taking time to to write a review. I do apologize for not having firewood available for your stay. We will consider having that available in the future. In the interim, there are numerous locations along Rt 13 between Pulaski and Altmar that have bundles of wood for sale for a few dollars. Along with Bynes Dairy and Nice n Easy. As for the television reception, yes you are correct, it can be a bit challenging, especially if you are an avid sports fan watching a game. The combination of an antenna and the Roku, when the fastest available internet is only 12 MB, is not the same as cable or satellite for sure. However, some of the charm of a rustic cabin is to get away from the outside world a bit. With that being said, we are considering installing satellite for next year. Again thank you for staying with us, and please consider us in the future. Sincerely, Brian and Andrea Cordell
