This newly remodeled and well appointed Studio room is located steps from downtown. The room includes granite counters, plush queen bed, contemporary seating area, kitchenette with sink, bar height breakfast table, 27' LCD TV with DVD and theater speakers, movie library, and a Sony docking station for Iphones/Ipods. The room is also furnished with a coffee maker, microwave, refrigerator, and hair dryer. (The 3G cell signal is great, but we do not have WiFi. We have bagged ice in a freezer in the storage room behind #9 - help yourself.)
There are teak chairs on the front porch overlooking Main street, and comfortable Adirondack chairs on the back balcony. (Room #9 does not have a back door, therefore, #10 has a large balcony area.)
Historic Downtown is a short, and relatively flat, 300 yard walk down a beautiful stone sidewalk. Parking downtown is very limited (and expensive), so, most guests simply park at the condo and walk... or ride the trolley. There is a trolley stop just south of the driveway.
Payment due at time of booking.
Good place to stay in Eureka Springs. This is a small hotel which was completely renovated (looks like several years ago) and turned into condos. Access to the historic downtown area is great - we walked to eat and dine instead of fighting for a parking space. Parking space behind the building was excellent. Definitely eat at Local Flavor, Mud Street Cafe and Nibbles. Great food and excellent service - all in easy walkng distance. The noise level at night was pretty high, since Hwy 23 (Main St.) is right outside the front bedroom door. There are nice sitting areas - one open area out front and another gazebo toward the rear. Again, the traffic noise made it somewhat hard to enjoy sitting outside - particulary out front.
We were not able to use wifi or cable tv until the last night. The manager called back the next day after the issue was first reported - it just didn't get fixed until we were almost ready to leave.
The unit was very clean and homey, but had a bit of a musty smell as it looked like there had been some water damage. Very convenient location for walking downtown for meals and shopping. We enjoyed our stay ... especially sitting on the deck in the evening watching the parade of people, cars and motorcycles going by! We were worried it was going to be noisy being on the main drag at night, but it was very quiet and the bed was very comfortable.
It was a nice room and very clean. The bed was comfortable. The 2 leather chairs were nice to sit in and have coffee in the morning. It was furnished with bare minimums that you might need on a short stay such as coffee mugs, plates, some silverware. The coffee pot served very good coffee...we brought our own coffee. The room did have a musty smell to it. But a little air freshener and we were good to go. We were unable to get internet service. Not sure why. We weren't there long enough to really mess with it much though.
Cute, cozy little place located within walking distance of downtown. Clean and decorated very cute! We recommend the Mexican restaurant across the street. Only complaint was the furnace really didn't have any "in between". It was either cold or blasting hot. I also didn't notice any smoke alarms in the room and it looked like there might have been some water damage at some point around the doors. It would be a fun place to stay when the weather was warmer so that you can enjoy the patio area. We enjoyed our stay.
