About Jane Folger/Tricia Folger Angelica

Yes, we are cousins! We grew up together and lived less than a mile from one another. After we bought our cottage, we joked 'Now that we co-own property, we are joined for life', which suits us just fine! Our dogs are very important to us, so we understand how special it is to include your fur babies on your vacation or winter get-a-way. Finding a clean, safe and comfortable place to vacation has always been important to us which is why we are thrilled to offer Cuz's Cottage to you!

Why Jane Folger/Tricia Folger Angelica chose Florida South Central Gulf Coast

We love all that Florida has to offer especially the spectacular sunsets only you can find on the Gulf Coast. The minute we stepped into this adorable and beautifully appointed house, we just knew this was the one we had been looking tirelessly for. This adorable house is located in a safe and monitored neighborhood within a boating/beach community. Nokomis Beach on Casey Key is less than a mile away ...the stress of life just rolls off your back and you are on vacation.

What makes this house unique

7 ft. high fully fenced private back yard that is brightly lit by a motion sensor light in the evening. One car garage and driveway large enough to accommodate a boat.

Guestbook comments from the owner

The house was everything we had hoped for and then some. Beautifully decorated, immaculate both inside and out. The landscaping is so tasteful without being over the top. We enjoyed the walk to the great Nokomis Beach. If you have not been to the drum circle, put it on your list of things to do. I would recommend this house to all of our friends and family only if we were invited to stay. Thanks to the owners for the warm and inviting home. Hope to be back again in the spring.

House was comfortable, clean and well equipped. Nicely landscaped yard. Less than 5 minute drive to beautiful beach. Rental owners were a pleasure to work with.

Lovely decor and ambiance

  • 5 of 5

Just a thank you to say how much we enjoyed staying at the Cuz's cottage this week. It was just how you described in the listing and we felt right at home. Someone has a decorators touch that I loved and even took away some ideas for decorating back home. Spent two nights grilling dinner outside, the lighting and ambiance added to the experience (could have used a few citronella candles for the mosquitoes.) Nokomis area was pleasantly unchanged since we had lived there 15 years ago and we liked that. Venice however has undergone a big renovation and we were happy to see the downtown thriving! Will definitely be planning a return trip in the future and staying at your cottage. Thanks for sharing.

We enjoyed our stay at Cuz' Cottage

  • 4 of 5

The property is clean and well maintained and the owners provided good customer service. The cottage is located in a quiet neighborhood about 1 mile from Nokomis beach. Since we like to walk, we made this an almost daily routine. Pops Sunset Grill is along the way (and on the water) and the food is good. We enjoyed the drum circle on the beach, the sunrise service on Easter morning and mostly just walking on the beach and watching the beautiful sunsets. We hope to return in the near future.

Could not be any better!

  • 5 of 5

From the first contact with the "couzins" to the last reply - we could not have been more pleased with the instant friendliness and excellent appointments in every aspect of the house. The fenced in backyard was a big plus for our dog but walking the neighborhood was safe at all hours. So close to the beach that it took only a few minutes to get there and back. The only reservation we had was the road off of Rt. 41 showed houses a bit out of date but definitely improved with each block and ending up at million dollar homes by the water. Warm and inviting and would definitely stay there again and again!

Owner's Response: We are so happy you enjoyed your holiday, the cottage is a great place to decompress. Your evaluation of the neighborhood is spot on with the houses closer to the main Road still originally owned we believe. But as you mentioned, the most important thing is the entire neighborhood is quiet, safe and so close to that beautiful beach. We look forward to having you back in the future.

Lovely house in great neighborhood

  • 5 of 5

The house was exactly as described and photographed, clean and well maintained. We spent a truly wonderful month there in an ideal location for walking the dog and meeting other friendly people doing the same. The location, 1 mile from Nokomis Beach made a walk to the beach a great daily activity. The owners were responsive and friendly and I would highly recommend this property.

Enjoyable break.

  • 4 of 5

This holiday home was perfect for what we needed as we were visiting family nearby but needed the extra space for a bed and breakfast arrangement. We did not spend any time in the cottage other than sleeping and eating breakfast. For those purposes, it suited us.

The only frustration we experienced occurred when we tried to use the two showers at the same time - only one will have hot water and the other will have very cold water. However, once we knew to avoid that then we were fine and made appropriate arrangements for taking turns showering in either bathroom (so it's sort of like having one shower).

Overall, I would recommend this getaway as it is in a beautiful location, the facilities are nice, and it met our needs.
