About the property

Cabin, 1 Bedrooms, 1 Baths, Sleeps 7

An antique wood stove takes center stage at this lovely Tahoe Donner vacation rental. Gaze in wonder at the imported art or relax in the inviting hot tub. It's the perfect spot to entertain in style for up to seven guests and Fido is welcome, too!

Situated in the midst of pine and birch trees, this adorable home is just five minutes to skiing and 10 minutes to Truckee and the Lake, but offers plenty of privacy for anyone looking to escape the everyday.

This true cabin in the woods boasts mountain views galore. An A-shaped living room features a pot-bellied oven, a full-length wool rug and two printed couches at which to recline. Sliding glass doors lead to a lovely outdoor deck with views for miles - you'll have a beautiful view while you prepare your catch on the gas grill as you take in the sunset.

A two-sided loft area offers plenty of privacy for children and a couple. One side features a full bed and the other a bunk with a full bottom and a twin on top. The windows provide plenty of light as well as a view of the gorgeous pines surrounding the home. Souvenirs from the owners' travels - from ponchos to puppets - occupy special places throughout the home.

An eat-in kitchen boasts a six-seat dining area as well as numerous appliances and gadgets - check out the pellet stove! - to keep the gourmand in your group satisfied.

Down the hall you'll find a brightly-colored bathroom as well as a master bedroom with a queen-size bed and a door right out to the wonderful deck and hot tub! Guests have access to a washer and dryer as well as free WiFi, and dogs are welcome- though a nightly fee per dog and minimum fee per stay will apply. Passes to the Trout Creek Recreation Center and Northwoods Clubhouse are also available.

Ski with full abandon at any of the resorts in North Lake Tahoe or take a hike or ride your bike down one of the many marked trails in the area. The area restaurants boast appetizing menus, from sushi to American staples such as burgers and fries.

You'll find this lovely home roomy and inviting. It's the perfect base for any North Lake Tahoe vacation!

Note: the use of Tahoe Donner HOA facilities requires additional daily fees.

About Vacasa, CA - Lake Tahoe Office

Thanks for considering a Vacasa home! We provide full-service management for privately owned vacation homes, and like to think that we offer our guests the best of both worlds: the unique experience of staying in a one-of-a-kind vacation home, with the peace of mind that comes from knowing that the home you book for your special vacation is cared for by professional housekeepers and property managers.

Vacasa began in 2009, simply because our founder and CEO Eric wanted to find a better way to share his wife’s family’s summer home in Long Beach, Washington with guests as a vacation rental. Eric and his early team worked to build Vacasa on the premise that local employees can do what they love most (taking care of guests, homeowners, and properties), while the hands-off tasks of vacation rental management—things like marketing, filing taxes, and maintaining a website—could be handled by a specialized central support team.

Our passion is connecting travelers with the unique experience of staying in a vacation home, and we would be honored to be your host. Please contact us with any questions about this home—our team is standing by!

quirky old cabin. Needs updating.

 • 1 of 5

Disappointing . Hot tub snowed in . Had to clear snow to be able to open lid. Driveway unable to park on unless cleared. About all you can say for this property is its cheap and in good location.

Wont be staying her again.

Cute and quirky cabin for small family

 • 4 of 5

We liked this place because we were able to sled in the backyard. The cabin needs a complete update in the kitchen and bathrooms. But we loved the open living room and the location. The kids loved playing and sleeping in the loft.

Fun for small family

 • 4 of 5

Thanks cabin chalet for the cute and quirky place to stay. Lots of snow everywhere so we were able to make a little sledding hill in the backyard. The cleaning crew did not arrive before we checked in, so I changed the beds using the extra linens and did some laundry. Missing some spoons in the kitchen, but had everything else you need for light cooking. Loved the nice large living space. The place could use some updates, but is was great for a 2 night family trip to play in the snow.

Calm, peaceful

 • 4 of 5

Everything was good for us. The only thing I really wish we had was a modern television. We wanted to hook up the x-box with the hdmi cable and we couldn't do it . Also, the TV in the room could only play old VHS tapes which was very limited. Other than that, hot tub was great, nice and warm.
