Walkable neighborhood (78 score on Zillow) with many lively bars and restaurants within a mile. Less than a mile from Tulane and Loyola universities. The St. Charles Streetcar will pick you up just two blocks away to carry you to Oak Street or Maple street just 5 stops away. Continue on the streetcar through the Garden District all the way to downtown and the French Quarter.

Our spacious apartment, located on a quiet street, offers:

About Rodney & Marnie

I am a migrant film worker making movies in New Orleans. My partner Marnie and I came here from Hollywood to work on a film and fell in love with the city. At first we we're VRBO guests, now we're VRBO hosts. We split our time between L.A. and LA. We love to travel and spend any time we can in exotic foreign places. We enjoy meeting people from all over and hosting them in the fabulous city of New Orleans. The culture, food and history are as rich and exciting as any we've found in the world.

Why Rodney & Marnie chose New Orleans

While our neighborhood is quiet and comfortable, it offers easy access to all the fun and festivities of New Orleans. I especially love going to Riccobono's Panola Cafe just a block away. Evenings you can walk or take the streetcar to Carrollton Station for cocktails then carry on to Jacques-Imo's or the Mellow Mushroom for dinner. When in the mood for some more serious frivolity, the French Quarter is only a 15 minute drive. For family fun, Audubon Park and the zoo are close by. We love this neighborhood, so will you!

We just stayed at this house with a group of 3 couples and it was such a great experience! Perfect location, easy to walk around, close to a park and the street car. The beds are comfortable, the kitchen is fully updated and great. Great house for multiple couples with or without kids!

The house was in excellent condition - clean and bright and up-to-date - and the four bedrooms worked out perfectly.

It felt spacious even with 8 people.

The back yard was a lovely quiet place to sit and we also spent time relaxing in the rocking chairs on the front porch.

We loved the neighbourhood and there was a fantastic place for breakfast two blocks away - Riccobono's Panola Street Cafe.

We were all delighted with this rental and it exceeded our expectations in every way.

(Note that the pull-out sofa is not really practical for extra sleeping, as it is right in the traffic between upstairs and the front door, but it would work if you had to.)

Clean, Spacious, and Accommodating

Rodney & Marnie have amazing homes. I booked both the 2 & 4 bedroom sides for my wedding weekend and they were very accommodating. They responded to all questions within 1 hour. They had all the amenities of a hotel, but with the feeling of a home, it was a different experience. I enjoyed how close it is to everything on St. Charles, and the neighborhood is nice as well. If you are in the New Orleans area, I would definitely book this place.

Wonderful property. Great location

This home was everything they said they were. We had 9 in our party and were comfortable. The outside spaces were great. The house was very clean. the neighborhood was safe and fun to walk about with easy access to the trolley and restaurants. We went to Riccobono's around the corner many times, Cooter Browns, Oh Henry's and Jacques Imo. All were really good. I highly recommend this to large groups who want more flexibility than a hotel offers.

Nice house in a perfect location

We stayed at the Uptown/Carrollton house prior to leaving on a cruise. We were a group of 8 adults and looking for someplace we could all be together to hang out and visit before and after the long days of sightseeing.

This house was ideal for that. We never seemed to trip over each other as there was lots of space. The house was clean and all the amenities were there for us to use. The location in regards to the St.Charles streetcar is ideal and we were able to get around the city with buying day passes at a minimal cost. Also within walking distance of a couple stores where you can get food and booze to stock the house. The neighborhood felt safe to walk around at any hour. (we were a group of 8 so that might have helped but even coming home late after being in the French Quarter it all seemed safe)

We had a little issue with trying to get in once we got there as the lock code was never emailed to us prior to arriving but that got settled quickly.

There were also nice seating areas on the porch as well as the backyard to hang out when the weather was nice.

We will recommend this property to anyone staying in NOLA that has a larger group.
