Great Location, Improvements Needed

  • 3 of 5

We had an absolute blast staying at this townhome. Much smaller than we imagined it would be. Upon arrival, it was very, very clean. We love the location and the great views. Access to the pool and the beach was only a few steps which was really nice. Out of our group, two adults and two children fell due to the type of flooring(tile on 2nd and 3rd) and whatever the cleaning crew cleans with. It left the floor very slick all week. Furniture in the living room and bedroom was falling apart. Beds could use new mattresses. Little bit of love, this place would have been perfect.

Terrific Town home walking distance to beach

  • 5 of 5

The town home is perfect location to the beach!! only a few steps away from the ocean! You can even hear the waves from all 3 balconies. It fit all 5 of us great! House keeping left plenty of extra towels and blankets which was nice. The living area was cozy and relaxing. Enough room for all of us! We grilled out with the amazing grill while hanging out on the outside patio. Cute bunk beds in the down stairs! We just LOVE how close this place is to the beach (literally steps) it was so easy coming in and out for lunch! The views from this town home are beautiful! We will definitely be staying here again! Thanks for letting us have a great time!

Great location and beach, but the property is in need of updates.

  • 3 of 5

The location of this condo is excellent, right on the beach and so close to the pool. Only a few blocks away is a quaint little town shopping area with some great local eateries, especially The Perfect Pig, we ate there 6 times during our stay! It is nice that the two upstairs bedrooms are separated from the downstairs bedrooms with the living space between the two. There are balconies on the second and third floors which made viewing the ocean amazingly easy, and what a gorgeous view! However, there are some downsides. The kitchen is ridiculously situated with the small sink in the corner, the tiny dishwasher right next to it, the fridge next to that. There was space for only one person in the kitchen at a time and that was very difficult. The condo is dated and is showing a lot of wear on the walls, furniture, cabinets, etc. Most of the doors stick or require a little extra effort to close and open. The housekeeping is ATROCIOUS! We had to sweep and mop the floors ourselves. I lost an earring sometime during the week so I got down and looked under the master bed to see if it was there and oh my goodness, it looked as if underneath the bed had NEVER been cleaned! There were piles of sand, debris, etc. under there. Fire whoever is paid to clean the place, they are not doing a good job. A positive was the quick response by real estate company (Dune Allen) when the shower would not drain. They were there within 3 hours and cleared out the drain, along with bringing a new shower curtain (that we requested because the old one was filled with mold from the constant standing water). Everything just needs updating and a serious cleaning. We loved Santa Rosa Island, but we would not stay in this unit again unless the above items were taken care of.

Owner's Response: Thank you very much for your candid review of your recent stay. We are glad you enjoyed the gulf front townhouse, pool and the amazing view and beach! Your feedback is extremely valuable to us, as we strive to improve with each and every stay. We feel the picture of the kitchen in our listing does showcase its size accurately. We greatly appreciate your comments about housekeeping and they will be addressed. If we had been made aware of any cleaning issues while you were here, we would have sent housekeeping right over, just as we did with the maintenance call. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused. That should have been checked prior to your arrival. This unit received some updates before the spring break season, and will continue to receive more updates after the busy summer season. It has been nearly fully booked since spring break and until now has not received a complaint. Please stay tuned to the listing for further updates. Rest assured, as I said above, the proper attention will be paid to your concerns. We hope that you will accept our apology and that you will trust our services in the future.
