We have lived in this home since 1987. We are Theater artists who left Manhattan for the big sky country of Brooklyn. We are proud of our home and happy to share it with travelers who like to enjoy the finer things of life.
Lenard Petit and Meg Pantera purchased this apartment in 1986
This house caressed us into buying it because we felt so welcomed when we walked in the front door. We recognized that it was the house and not the seller that made us feel so welcomed. The feeling remains as you walk in the front door
We had a wonderful 12 days at Meg's and Len's delightful home. We were made feel very welcome and contact was reliable and excellent. Apartment is large 1st floor with not many stairs, a very comfortable queen size bed, great back garden and a fantastic large new washer/dryer in basement. A wonderful kitchen that makes you want to stay home and cook. A great central area of Brooklyn in a relatively quiet street and neighbourhood. It must be noted the nearest subway is a 20 min walk. It was not a problem for us as we walked everywhere and felt safe at all times. Easy walk to Williamsburg, Brooklyn Heights and Botanical Gardens. Great restaurants, coffee shops and grocery stores in area.
I would highly recommend this home and thank you Meg and Len for making our time in Brooklyn so memorable.
Here it is our last night and I really don't want to leave here to go home. We have had such a lovely stay in this beautiful and funky little flat. We were here to watch our son graduate from Pratt Institute so it was a wonderfully centrally located flat. If you love to cook, the owners could not leave you a better quality and quantity of chef's tools (I used to run restaurants so I do know a little bit about kitchens). During our stay, it was lovely to watch a warm rain get drunk by the lovely roses and lilies in the back yard while reading one of the dozens of books provided. Never a dull moment between the liveliness of Brooklyn and the opportunity to take a snooze on the very comfortable bed or couch. Great place to have a small family gathering.
My only wish would be for a small kitchen microwave for that coffee reheat or to warm up a bun because we were on the go a lot. There is also no closet, nor were there any hangers for clothes (I had to go get some).
But all and all it was simply wonderful. As I lay here, I see the lightening flash through the window and wish all my family get togethers so were as special as this one was.
