CROYDE VILLA SOLYMAR OVERVIEW
CROYDE VILLA SOLYMAR is in a fantastic central village location with far-reaching sea views and a short walk to the beach.
This 6-bedroom detached private house is perfect for two/three family occupation. Within walking distance of famous Croyde beach and its ice cream shop, gourmet restaurants, chocolate box village pubs and stores, you can't help but feel spoilt by this ultimate beach holiday. Countryside walks are available directly from the property and include the majestic Croyde cliff path to Baggy Point, (and for those energetic), to Woolacombe and beyond. The entrance hall leads to a very spacious triple aspect split-level, open-plan lounge with electric pebble living flame feature fireplace and a large corner lounge suite and coffee table. Entertainment is provided by a 40' Sony Bravia flat-screen wall-mounted TV with SKY +HD (including full package and sport) as well as a wireless broadband connection. There is a dedicated dining area with a solid pine 12-seater dining table. Solid pine flooring is laid throughout the living areas. The second adjoining lounge/sun room has a sky roof featuring solid pine beams, two leather couches and solid pine flooring. This room leads through to the garden via double doors and is perfect for relaxing with a good book or board game.
The modern solid pine, open-plan kitchen features a ceramic and granite hob island with halogen-lit extractor hood. All the appliances are integrated and include a dishwasher, washing machine, tall fridge, separate 3-drawer freezer unit, eye-level twin-oven, microwave, filter coffee percolator etc. There is also a breakfast bar with garden views; all flooring is once again solid pine. Attention to detail includes children's crockery and cutlery, large variety of pots and pans for all occasions and 4-slice toaster.
Bedroom 1 is a self contained ground floor bedroom with king-sized bed (can be separated into 2 twin beds, please specify when booking) boasting an en-suite shower room and WC. Separate from the main house, very private, accessed from the entrance hall. There is a hand basin in the room for convenience and storage is catered for with a chest of drawers and tall dresser.
A TV is provided for entertainment. Views overlook a small rose garden and beyond. This separate unit is ideal for 3 generation families or when a couple/grandparents want to enjoy peace and privacy.
Bedroom 2 (Ground Floor) is a sunny double-aspect twin bedroom with views of both the garden and over open fields to the dunes and sea, including Baggy Point and Lundy Island. Newly-fitted blinds offer privacy and bedside table and lamps are provided. A storage facility contains a large variety of children's toys. The staircase and landing leads to the first floor with four further bedrooms. There is a modern-style stairgate at the top and bottom of the staircase.
Bedroom 3 (Upstairs). The Master Bedroom, king-sized bed with bedside cabinets and reading lamps, large built-in overhead wardrobe and full-length mirror, dedicated en-suite shower room with WC. Country views up the valley towards Georgeham.
Bedroom 4 (Upstairs) is adjacent to the master bedroom and is furnished with bunk beds, chest of drawers and clothes hanging cubicle. Patio doors lead to the balcony/deck with stunning country and ocean views.
Bedroom 5 (Upstairs) is a large airy room with double bed (can be 2 singles, please specify when booking), wall-mounted shelves and bedside lamps, TV with integrated DVD player and patio doors leading to the balcony/decked area.
Bedroom 6 (Upstairs) Twin-bedded room with country views up the valley. This bedroom also has a wardrobe as well as bedside cabinet with reading lamps.
Family Bathroom (Ground Floor - just across the inner hall from Bedroom 2) is fully tiled with heated floor. This modern, completely refurbished bathroom has a bath with hand-held retractable shower attachment, a curved glass shower enclosure with LED lit shower head, soft-close toilet, twin sinks as well as large electric mirror with hands-free activation sensor, heated de-misting element, built-in LED lights and shaver point as well as tall heated towel rail.
Other facilities include an en-suite shower room off the master bedroom as well as en-suite shower and WC off the the private studio style double room downstairs.
Double French doors open out from the sun room onto a private courtyard, BBQ and level garden. Wood decking leads off from the grassed area on the sea view side of the house, with a contemporary glass windbreak. Enjoy the use of the hot tub whilst sipping cocktails. Eat al fresco dinners on the large wooden picnic tables with benches to seat 12 and watch the sunset over a glass of wine. The garden also features spectacular views over open fields to the dunes and sea, including Baggy Point and Lundy Island. The Balcony / Deck measures 12ft x 27ft approx. Accessed from Bedrooms 1 and 2 (upstairs) this is an outstanding feature of the house. It enjoys open views across fields to the sea. Panning left to right in a 270 degree sweep the view begins with Saunton Down (bring your binoculars, you might see various wildlife including foxes and hovering sparrow hawks and buzzards (hunting for field-mice),Hartland Point with its lighthouse, the ocean, Lundy Island, more ocean, Baggy Point including the winding cliff path. It is even possible to wave to your kids on the tallest sand dune! Finally looking to the north, you can see a fascinating view of the northern side of the Bay. There are great sunsets to be seen from here and it's a great place to sunbathe with a Pina Colada!
Parking for 4 cars. The garage is available for use for car parking or storing surfboards, wetsuits and bikes.
