About the property

Beautiful apartment located in the heart of the "Vauban" town of Briancon. The apartment overlooks the Place des Armes on one side, the main square of the recently renovated old town, and on the other side the fortifications designed by the architect Vauban to protect the city.

A few meters from shops and restaurants is composed of a spacious double bedroom, a bedroom with bunk beds, a large living room with fireplace, satellite TV, WiFi, VHS player and where there is a sofa bed for one and a half, and with a terrace overlooking the Place des Armes; a kitchen where you can also have meals, equipped with oven, microwave, dishwasher, electric appliance for grilling or raclette, pots and pans, with a lovely terrace overlooking the fortifications and the mountains. Careful furnishings

Briancon is the ideal place for ski lovers: the Serre Chevalier ski area, with its 300 km of slopes is one of the largest and most beautiful in Europe! A free shuttle connects all the localities so that you can get on one and get off another without problems of travel. But also for non-skiers offers beautiful walks and excursions in the surrounding villages rich in history and traditions. The numerous department stores also offer opportunities to enjoy shopping and the brocanti scattered around you can still find the object or the antique furniture at attractive prices.

The Tourist Office a few meters from the apartment will provide you with all the information on skiing, hiking and sporting activities (innumerable) that you can do.

Our stay in Briancon

Well situated in the historic town of Vauban, it made for a pleasant and interesting stay. Vauban is very interesting with plenty of life and character, and a wide range of small shops, cafes and restaurants nearby. The apartment was equipped with everything we needed.

description non conforme à l'annonce

Pour les points positifs, contact agréable et appartement bien situé en bas du centre ville historique et au 1er étage d'une place animée.

Pour les autres points, annonce non conforme à la réalité; l'appart est vétuste, bcp de fissures, du salpetre dans la SDB; 4 ampoules non remplacées, que des chauffages d'appoint, 2 plaques électriques sur 4 fonctionnant, la TV soit disant satellite ne fonctionnait pas (si, deux chaines italiennes) et on ne nous a même pas prévenu en arrivant alors que nous en avions parlé (soit disant nous n'avons pas eu de chance mais la personne en charge de nous accueillir - pas les proprio - nous a indiqué le contraire); les canalisations font un bruit stridant à chaque descente d'eau dans l'immeuble (ce bruit intervient même quand vous n'utilisez pas d'eau, en pleine nuit); le matelas et le sommier sont mauvais. L'annonce stipulait une terrasse; en fait il s'agit d'un balcon de 50 cms environ de profondeur sur environ 4à 5 m de long); le linge de maison n'est pas fourni ni les serviettes contrairement à ce qui est indiqué. Bref, certes, on ne s'attendait pas à du grand standing mais n'avons pas apprécié la description mensongère de l'annonce et le côté vétuste craquelant et fissuré (le platre se décolle d'un peu partout) de l'appart (et de son matériel électroménager) avec deux jeunes enfants. Pour être sympa, disons que c'était très décevant.
