About Geri or Rob

(Geri and Robert) we have been using this property for a number of years and when we had the chance to purchase this we jumped at the chance. We are keen to see that everyone is catered for including well behaved pets. I am a keen sea angler and regularly go out in my kayak to fish in and around the harbour. We love walking and enjoying those sea views and no matter what time of year there is always something to catch your breath. Whether it's golden sands at carbis and hayle in the summer or crashing swells into the rocks off porthminster. We hope you enjoy your stay as much as we do and hope to make your holiday as good as our own. All the best.

Geri or Rob purchased this cottage in 2016

The cottage is cosy, warm and has all the things you will need to keep you occupied or just relax and take your mind off things.

What makes this cottage unique

  • 4 of 5

This is the 4th time we've stayed in this lovely cottage and we've again had a lovely time. The cottage has been improved since our last stay, decor freshened and furniture changed. Perfect location. We'll be back! The Hull Family!

Owner's Response: Thank you for your review. We pride ourselves on making sure we have a homely cosy feel but also an updated decor . We rwapinred the whole cottage and intend to do so every year to give the fresh feel. The furniture is also updated to higher quality for all our guests with a king size quality wooden bed and fantastic new sofa bed with thick memory foam mattress. Many thanks Rob and Geri

Beautiful home from home :)

  • 5 of 5

Me,my boyfriend and our 3 poodles stayed for 4 nights. Absolutely perfect cottage, had everything we needed and more. Garden was little small but soon found some small walks around the block for the dogs. Loved the community also, lovely man next door but one who was so helpful. Coop and corner shop literally outside, everything with a short walk. Defiantly would go back :)

It is a lovely cottage within 3 minutes walk to the shops and sea front.

  • 4 of 5

We had a wonderful holiday. Three minute walk to the town and sea front. The owners of the cottage had catered for everything from bucket and spades, books and toys for children as well as everything you could wish to have. It was a very well thought out cottage. It was very clean, however there were two very large stains on the living room carpet which irritated me and I could see that the bedding was clean unfortunately it was not ironed and therefore let the property down, hence only four stars. We would go again, we had a lovey time.

Owner's Response: Elisabeth, Thank you for the feedback on the cottage. The stains have been noted and as you can appreciate guests don't usually admit to damage that is caused. Once we know about it we can organise imbetween handovers getting a professional cleaner for the carpets. A ruined carpet will however take time outside of the main season to replace. We ask all guests to respect the property from the perspective of the property owners and also those of the next occupants. It is irritating to find these things through guests that haven't caused the damage as we are both affected. Thank you for your observations and we will make note to address these issues in the coming days. Many thanks. Robert and Geri

St Ives is absolutely beautiful can't wait to go again next year.

  • 3 of 5

Beautiful little cottage. However very noisy as on busy road. Seagulls also were very noisy from 3am.

Cottage had everything you needed even a garage, as st Ives is very difficult to park but garage is quite a walk away from property.

Would definitely think about staying again, but price was a little to expensive due to noise and not being able to sleep at night.

Owner's Response: Unfortunately we cant affect everything the customer requires when choosing a location for there holiday but we do cover the things that are in our control. If you ever are in doubt about the location of the cottage we can certainly make sure the homeaway site identifies how close you are to the amenitie including our free of use secure parking garage facility. Seagulls do come with the territory I'm afraid to say but most enjoy the fact they can associated with the resonance of being in such a beautiful seaside location. We pride ourselves in offering what we think is the best value in such a great location. Unfortunately being so close to town means noise impacts and garage locations are not ideal but that is more than made for in the grade 2 listed property with some tasteful original miners features and altogether homely feel. We welcome your points and hope you feel that we have gone some if not all the way in answering any outstanding points you have brought up. We are extremely grateful for your feedback. All the best Rob and Geri

  • 3 of 5

Nice little Cottage very nicley detailed, very comfortable a nice relaxed feeling, inspite of the main road write outside it was quiet,.a very short distance to either the shops, cafe's, sea or the Resturants.

We enjoyed our stay!

But...

Pulling back the bed sheets on both the doubel aswell the singel bed we noticed stains and pubic hairs in the beds...

after a phone call to the cleaning lady this was taken care of within 20 min.

Owner's Response: Peter, I'm extremely concerned that you found this in the cottage and you did the right thing by contacting the cleaner. This is something that should not happen at all. We will be contacting the cleaning company to obtain a review of what happened.{as an update we have since found that owners let there animals sleep on and even in the bed and the bed in question was re-made to cover up the mud/sand and dog hairs. We have since amended the cottage rules to reflect this as future customers and especially the house keeper needs to know. There is now a small charge to be added for animals to cover these cleaning costs and we appreciate you points raised} We thank you for your honest opinions and are glad you could share this incident. Please feel free to contact us personally if you feel you need to discuss this matter further. We pride ourselves on customer satisfaction and making sure you have a trouble free time. Incidents however sometimes happen and it's the way we deal with them that counts towards a good experience. I would be happy to hear an honest account of whether you feel this was dealt with in the manner you expected. Sincere apologies and many thanks Robert and Geri .
