About Geri or Rob

(Geri and Robert) we have been using this property for a number of years and when we had the chance to purchase this we jumped at the chance. We are keen to see that everyone is catered for including well behaved pets. I am a keen sea angler and regularly go out in my kayak to fish in and around the harbour. We love walking and enjoying those sea views and no matter what time of year there is always something to catch your breath. Whether it's golden sands at carbis and hayle in the summer or crashing swells into the rocks off porthminster. We hope you enjoy your stay as much as we do and hope to make your holiday as good as our own. All the best.

Geri or Rob purchased this cottage in 2016

Gorgeous getaway

  • 5 of 5

We couldn't have enjoyed our stay any more if we tried! The cottage is superbly situated for everything to do in St Ives from nice walks to lunch by the harbour to plenty of cosy pubs to sink a drink or two. We were so cosy, it really was home from home and spotlessly clean. Lovely large shower and king size bed, although we didn't use a lot of the stuff supplied as we ate out all the time you could quite easily live comfortably with washing machine, dishwasher, microwave etc all on hand. Our car remained locked away for the 4 days we were there in the garage up the road as we just walked everywhere as so much is so close by. Would reccommend Sky's Diner for breakfast in the main shopping street and the Lifeboat Inn had a nice feel about it too when we popped in a couple of times for afternoon drinks. Nice roast dinner in The Golden Lion for £8.95 too and handy co-op literally right across the road. Would highly recommend to anyone who wanted a quiet few days away from it all, thanks so much Geri and Rob for loaning us your lovely cottage.

Spotlessly clean and perfectly located. Compact and bijou. Would definitely stay there again

A lovely small but perfect cottage in walking distance of everything in St Ives. Spotlessly clean and fully equipped for anything!! The garage is not huge however and we really struggled to fit our car - a Volkswagen Jetta - in. At least it was safe for the duration of our stay though. I wouldn't hesitate to use Trestenor Cottage again.

Very enjoyable stay in a very clean and comfortable cottage.

  • 4 of 5

This short break holiday was very enjoyable and very comfortable in this lovely cottage.

It is ideally placed to walk everywhere in St Ives and has everything you need. Garage parking was a massive benefit and although an uphill walk it is worth the trouble parking your car to enjoy your holiday on foot. One slight drawback is the access to the garage is very tight and a large family car fits in with a lot of difficulty. The cottage has everything you need and didn't disappoint at all. The only very minor issue was poor drainage in the shower but once I took away all the hair form the drain away it was fine. Maybe a regular job for the cleaner.!! I would certainly recommend this cottage for a couple having a short break in St Ives

Owner's Response: Thank you for taking the time to review the cottage and it's atmosphere. The garage is as you say a huge benefit for the property and we pride ourselves on making sure it is available at no extra cost to your vacation. The job of cleaning the cottage and making sure everywhere has been checked is done in Some areas of the cottage on a rotational basis. As you can imagine a 4 hour window from top to bottom is quite a struggle. We will endeavour to make sure that these things are checked periodically and systematically to make sure your stay is a trouble free one. The drains innand around these old buildings are extremely prone to problems and we expect all holiday makers to be vigilant about how they treat the property during their stay. Thank you for your review and we look forward to your return. Kind regards Robert and Geri

Beautiful home from home :)

  • 5 of 5

Me,my boyfriend and our 3 poodles stayed for 4 nights. Absolutely perfect cottage, had everything we needed and more. Garden was little small but soon found some small walks around the block for the dogs. Loved the community also, lovely man next door but one who was so helpful. Coop and corner shop literally outside, everything with a short walk. Defiantly would go back :)

We rwapinred the whole cottage and intend to do so every year to give the fresh feel.
