This first floor villa is located in an oceanfront complex, with pool and limited ocean views. Great location with no streets to cross to get to the beach! With two bedrooms and two bathrooms, this villa can accommodate up to four guests. Guests enjoy free access to the community pool. No Sportscard-Wild Dunes amenities are limited to golf, dining and bike trails. Guests have access to wireless internet.
The living room has a flat screen TV with DVD player and access to the large screen porch overlooking the community pool. The fully equipped kitchen features granite counters and tile floors and is open to the dining area that seats six. The master suite with queen bed and flat screen TV offers access the screened porch. The second bedroom has two twin beds and access to the hall bath.
Each Mariners Walk Villa includes: free parking, screened porch or deck, free access to community swimming pool & community charcoal grills, initial supply of linens and towels, washer and dryer, color cable TV, air conditioning, starter supply of paper products and detergents, fully equipped kitchen with dinnerware, flatware, pots and pans, plus local telephone service and 24-hour security in a gated community.Contact the front desk about the login information. We knew this condo was dated when we rented it. But it had direct ocean front access, so we took a chance. Unfortunately it was a mistake. The beds were horrible, the furniture old and smelly. The screened porch was nice but the deck furniture was awful.
We expects much more from a Wild Dunes property and were very disappointed.
Ok, the condo above us had very loud people there. One night they talked into late - early hrs of morning, it was like they were in the bedroom. Condo had many stains on carpet. Will not stay in this condo again
Upon first arrival, I felt the unit was just what I was looking for with all of the amenities I needed. I then soon discovered the master bedroom ceiling fan was not working. When loading the refrigerator, I found the door handle was broken and loose. While both are not that big of a deal, I just would appreciate having things in proper order and not having to worry that someone would think I broke the fridge handle. Well, the next morning, the coffee maker was not working properly and created quite the mess that needed to be cleaned up. Also not a huge deal, but a creature comfort that is expected to be available when on vacation. The rest of the day went smoothy, but the next night, a portion of the unit's electricity failed. We had no power to the kitchen (fridge was affected, as was the hot water heater) and the living room which housed the satellite unit, so no television. This all occurred around bedtime. I immediately called and spoke with someone who said they would have someone call me first thing in the morning. Well the next day, I had to call, and we did not have a technician come out until around 1-2 pm. They could not fix the problem and the power company had to be called. We finally had electricity again around 4 pm. While the unit itself is cute, clean and nice, it definitely was not ready for someone to stay in. With proper maintenance, the unit would be great for a small family or couple. The Mariner's walk group is great with the pool and easy beach front access. I hope this unit gets the proper maintenance work it needs to get a better review.
