Photos and Description of this 4 bedroom holiday home in Varengeville-sur-Mer

Beautiful fireplace. Fully equipped kitchen. Two bathrooms.

In a garden of 2500 m2 bordered by a stream, neighboring the famous flower park Le Bois des Moutiers, La Maison du Vallon is a charming farmhouse that dates to the French Revolution, now completely renovated. This is a house, gorgeous, between the countryside and the beach, built in clay, wood, flint and brick, typical of the region. The living area is 150 m2 over 2 floors.

Up to 9 people. Large living room with a fireplace. Fully equipped kitchen. 4 bedrooms. 2 bathrooms. Flower garden, outbuilding, outdoor games, barbecue, garden furniture, hammocks. Parking for 3 cars on the property. Free firewood.

The chalk cliffs and extensive beaches are a stroll away from the house. tourist. The house is in the middle of a hilly landscape of woods and fields. So you take advantage of both the sea and the countryside.

PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION: 'La Maison du Vallon' is located in Varengeville-sur-Mer, 10 km south west of Dieppe in Northern Normandy, three hours drive from Brussels and two hours from Paris. The village is best known for the artists who were painting (Monet), philosophers visits (Heidegger) and for the church and cemetery sailor with stained glass Braque (based, in part, in the cemetery). The chalk cliffs and extensive beaches are a stroll away from the house. Some beaches are virgins and wild, with incredible rock formations, others are more tourist. The house is in the middle of a hilly landscape of woods and fields. So you take advantage of both the sea and the countryside. Everyone found there.

The village is located one kilometer: bakery, butcher, grocery, tobacco / newspapers, brewery and restaurant, jewelry and clothing (linen, typical of the region), pharmacy, hairdresser, hotel ... all in one street.

CULTURAL AND TOURISM: The house is right next to the "Bois des Moutiers", a beautiful flower park. Nearby, there is the park Vastérival the Princess Sturdza and garden Shamrock, the largest collection of hydrangeas in the world with over a thousand varieties.

Le Manoir d'Ango is also to visit the castle-residence of Jehan Ango, a pirate and one of the most flamboyant and historical figures of Dieppe.

A little further away is the castle of Miromesnil where Guy de Maupassant spent his youth. Do not miss the garden.

Castle Museum of Dieppe reflects the rich history of the city (ivory trade).

The coast and inland are littered original villages: Veules-les Roses, Saint-Valery-en-Caux, Etretat, Luneray, La Chapelle-sur-Dun ....

The house is well located for visiting the Claude Monet's gardens at Giverny and the D-Day beaches. Paris is just two and a half hours drive from Rouen to an hour.

There are many walks (walks and bikes).

FOOD: 'L'Auberge du Relais' is the Varengeville restaurant with excellent menu card, friendly service and good prices. The Inn also serves appetizers and drinks at the pub or on the terrace.

You can buy the excellent cider in the cider house Castle Varengeville.

'La Terrasse' (facing the sea) is a restaurant in Vastérival (Ste Marguerite-sur-Mer), a nearby village.

At Pourville-sur-Mer, the 'Huitrière offer an exquisite plate of seafood, the panoramic view of the sea included in the price. The oysters are delicious there!

A little further there 'Regatta', a bar / restaurant with a swinging atmosphere.

And finally, our favorite, 'The Bucolic' in La Chapelle-sur-Dun, a tiny 'bar-tabac-grocery-multi-dish of the day brasserie', where laughter Bourvil still behind the brown wallpaper ... Try the dish of the day (you do not have a choice) and give a general tour. A postcard memories guaranteed!
