Cody Carr purchased this lodge in 2011
As a second generation outfitter, I wanted to expand my business to cover more of the land, Trout Creek is a historic beautiful little town, next to the Noxon Reservoir with miles of hills, valleys and land full of wildlife. We utilize the lodge during hunting season for hunters, but hate to see it sit empty in the offseason, for it's just too beautiful.
The 3 stories provide enough space to move around, but the charm and beauty of the furnishings, from the front porch entry to the scenic landscapes all around you, give a coziness that is indescribable.
What a great place for a winter getaway with friends! The lodge had plenty of space, beds, rooms, and bathrooms for our large group of friends and dogs, and a table that could seat us all for meals and games. It's about 30 minutes from Ross Creek Cedars, where we took a beautiful cross country ski and snowshoe trip. The kitchen had almost everything we needed as far as dishes and cookware (though we couldn't find a strainer or colander?), and a few cooking basics, but not many. Clean and comfortable, and after two nights here, we all wished we could stay longer.
We had a great time over Christmas. The house was very nice and the kitchen was very well supplied. An exit out to the back yard allowed us to keep wet cloths there and then come up stairs for warm fun. The only thing I would recommend for visitors is a pair of slippers or flip flops to wear inside as the living room and dining room floors tend to grab socks and is a little rough. Simple and straight forward instructions to check in and check out.
We loved our stay. The cabin was comfortable and clean. Close to the river, beautiful surroundings. We hope to return next year
This large cabin/lodge is the ideal family rental. Wonderfully woodsey, clean spacious and comfortable with a great (close) location to the town of Trout Creek. The large table in the kitchen allowed us to do a puzzle, play cards, draw pictures and eat wonderful meals together. We read books on the comfortable couch. We also saw tons of deer off the front porch. We highly recommend this rental !!
