About Vacasa, CA - Inland Empire Local Office

Thanks for considering a Vacasa home! We provide full-service management for privately owned vacation homes, and like to think that we offer our guests the best of both worlds: the unique experience of staying in a one-of-a-kind vacation home, with the peace of mind that comes from knowing that the home you book for your special vacation is cared for by professional housekeepers and property managers.

Vacasa began in 2009, simply because our founder and CEO Eric wanted to find a better way to share his wife’s family’s summer home in Long Beach, Washington with guests as a vacation rental. Eric and his early team worked to build Vacasa on the premise that local employees can do what they love most (taking care of guests, homeowners, and properties), while the hands-off tasks of vacation rental management—things like marketing, filing taxes, and maintaining a website—could be handled by a specialized central support team.

Our passion is connecting travelers with the unique experience of staying in a vacation home, and we would be honored to be your host. Please contact us with any questions about this home—our team is standing by!

Awesome House

 • 5 of 5

Amazing house, large space. Kitchen is AMAZING! Small back yard and patio was just perfect. Parking was easy, plenty of space.

2 TVs weren't working, not a big deal, we didn't come to Big Bear to watch TV. Vacuum also needed to be jerry rigged to work, but otherwise a great home. Hope to book again next year!

Really nice place for a group!

 • 4 of 5

We rented this property for a few days after Christmas in Dec 2017. Everyone in our party loved the place. Here are the pros and cons:

Pros:

1. Really nice inside. 2 big gathering rooms, plus large kitchen and formal dining room. Love the mountain cabin decor and finishings.

2. Close to Snow Summit! Probably a 10 minute walk, so probably wouldn't walk it w/ skis or stuff, but close enough to be dropped off quickly.

3. The green carpet doesn't look as bad in real life as it does in the pictures, so its not green shag carpet from the 80's like it looks in the pictures.

4. 7 bedrooms/7 baths, plus 10 other twin beds.

Cons:

1. Total taxes & fees were just about 50% of our rental rate. Maybe that's normal for VRBO/Vacasa, but a little shocking to the reasonable person. This included the cleaning fee (which was over 10%), the fee for VRBO, another fee for the property management company, a hot tub fee, and taxes to the City of Big Bear.

2. Hot Tub - They provide a generic warning that everything takes longer to work in high elevations, but they should provide a more specific one. Like - it will probably take XX # of hours to heat up 20 degreees or whatever. We turned it on at 2:00 pm when it was 80 degrees already and it took over 5 hrs and still hadn't hit 100 degrees.

3. The place sleeps 24 people (7 queen beds and 10 twin beds), but the rental only allows for a maximum of 16 people. I'm sure this has to do with some sort of fire code or what have you, but why have 7 bedrooms if you can only get 16 people in there? Most families have more than 2 people.

Big Bear weekend

 • 5 of 5

Evergreen Manor is a beautiful, well-maintained cabin that fit our families comfortably, with one whole bedroom to spare! It was so nice that each family had their own bathroom, as well. The kitchen was fully stocked with every appliance/tool we needed. Ample dining space for everyone!! The backyard slope is perfect for sledding.

Renting a piece of paradise

We loved the Evergreen Manor large house, perfect for our big family. Every adult couple having a king size bed to them self, lots of room so people could be doing different activities that they wanted to do.
