About Virginia Profenna
Retired United States Air Force Colonel and family. We live in San Antonio, Texas and fell in love with Angel Fire and all it has to offer.
Virginia Profenna purchased this Cabin in 2014
Why Virginia Profenna chose Angel Fire
We liked the look and amenities of the inside and loved the cabin look of the outside.
What makes this Cabin unique
Cabin is rustic appearing from the outside, but spacious and comfortable on the inside. Main room has fireplace, couch and chairs and stunning view from large windows. Large, hardwood kitchen table with bright table settings make any meal special. Kitchen with upgraded appliances, kitchenware, blender, coffee maker, toaster. Finished basement with bar, television, table and standing shuffleboard table. Nestled among large trees with huge deck and outdoor fire pit if you want a cowboy breakfast! Great retreat for skiers with indoor storage for skis/boots. Many species of wildlife, short walk through backyard to Monte Verde Lake. Less than a mile to main road, very close to golf. Hiking trails everywhere with Carson National Forest surrounding the resort. Paradise for ATVs. World class mountain bike course on mountain. Wifi available.

Relaxing and private
Everything was good few little things that needed fixed but didn’t bother us at all owner was very helpful
We have stayed here 3 years in a row and enjoy it every time. Great location, close to Angel Fire, Taos, and Red River.
Great location! Plenty of room, clean comfortable, we had a great time!
We had a great time! House was clean, great location! All needed supplies were available! Had a problem with the heat, made a call to the management company and they sent a repair tech out immediately and all was fixed very fast!
Only little issues need addressed, the living room ceiling fan did not work, I think the remote needed a battery. The floor fan stored in the upstairs bedroom did not work. One of the twin beds was super squeaky with any movement, difficult to sleep.
All in all a terrific house, would definitly rent again! No major issues.
Very nice, comfortable cabin
Went for the New Year holiday... had a wonderful time, plenty of space, very comfortable and clean. Would defiantly go back. Thank you Virginia!!!
You are very welcome! We are glad you enjoyed your stay. Come visit us again!
We enjoyed our stay at the cabin! It was great to be in walking distance of the lake!
Overall, we had a great trip and enjoyed the cabin. It did seem like it had been a while since the cabin had been stayed in and/or cleaned. We noticed quite a bit of dust, mouse droppings, and ants in the cabin.
Thank you for your review. We have contacted the property manager and voiced our concern with the way you found the property during your vacation and he is taking care of talking to housekeeping and pest control and will inspect the property throughly.
Fine but needs some attention
We were comfortable with the space and beds. We loved the outside fire pit and the view from the main living space was nice and the location was nice. It was a little difficult cooking. Utensils need updating. Lots of extra, unnecessary kitchen stuff to sort through to find what will work.
There is a large air vent/grate you have to walk on in the main hallway. We found it super annoying.
Management was very accessible. We had one small hiccup with the coffee maker and it was replaced within a couple hours.
Thank you for your review. The cabin is rustic and old as stated in the description. It has been updated but the heating is through the central floor grate. As it is stated in the rental contract, house shoes are a must because of the grate. We are glad we could supply you with a new coffee maker within a couple of hours for your enjoyment during your stay.
