This fully equipped apartment is located in a modern residential complex, on the first floor with nice views of the swimming pool and with a unique location right in the historic centre of Tavira. It was built in 2008. There are many local Portuguese residents who reside within the apartment complex, making the living environment especially pleasant. The apartment offers two separate bedrooms, one with a double bed and a private breakfast terrace, and one with two single beds that can easily be converted into a double bed. The property also has a separate enclosure that can be converted into a private sleeping area with two partitions, then with sofa bed and sleeps two. Flat-screen TV, Internet and cable television. Terrace with great sun and sitting in front of the living room and front door. Bath and shower. Washing machine and dishwasher in the kitchen. Gas cooker. Espresso Machine.

Tavira is considered to be Portugal's most beautiful town -beautifully linked by bridges over the river Gilão, the town's old market square, riverside gardens, elegant fish restaurants and bars, whilst providing easy access to the local beaches beach ferry service links the town to Tavira Island within about 10 minutes, offering a fabulous 5 km beach of golden sand. Alternatively there is a wide choice of alternative beaches within 10-20 minutes by car.

Tavira also has the Algarve's most child-friendly beaches, long, white with clear water and calm waves. Arrival Ilha de Tavira by boat, frequent departures only three minutes walk from the apartment.

With this apartment a car is not required, you are right in the heart of Tavira with access to all facilities. Still included is a private garage for safekeeping - needed especially in the summertime when the town boils of both people and heat. The apartment is located a few streets up from the river, in a one-way street, so here it is quiet and calm night.

A fantastic library is right up the stairs behind the apartment, here you can read newspapers from around the world enjoyed over a cup of coffee in a lovely garden with fountains and trees. Every morning until lunchtime, the local market frequented by the local residents is about 3 minutes walk from the apartment's front door, where you will find a large selection of fresh vegetables, fruit, fish (do not miss Tavira's famous tuna!) And other local goodies. The Gran Plaza shopping center is also within walking distance, where you will find all the restaurants, cinemas, clothing stores and an excellent supermarket - hipermercado Continente

About swimming inside and out

The apartment has a nice sitting area on the private terrace on the first floor with good views of the swimming pool, only residential complex in Tavira's historic center that can offer this! Also overlooks the garden and playground within the closed area, the apartment has a private video-calling facility.

The apartment is also next to 5-star Vila Gale Tavira hotel, which offers many exciting excursions you can hang out with on trips to the historic and cultural attractions of Tavira, as well as excursions to the beautiful nearby nature reserve Ria Formosa. Here they also have private spa with indoor pool, jacuzzi, Turkish bath, massage and exercise that you can use at a reasonable price.

Getting there

Tavira is a half hour drive from Faro where it currently runs direct flights from both United Kingdom and other European airports.Tavira is also just a little over three hours drive from Lisbon. It takes an hour and a half to drive from Seville and 30 minutes from Ayamonte.

Nice spacious apartement in the center

Had a great stay. The apartement is spacious, well equiped and right in the center of Tavira town. The complex feels safe and we loved the pool. Sandra was super nice and sweet! Would stay again.

Je ne parle pas l'anglais, j'espère donc ne pas commettre d'impair. Location conforme au descriptif. Appartement confortable très bien situé en plein centre de TAVIRA dans un ensemble très calme. Pas besoin de voiture sauf pour les promenades ( indispensables ) dans la région. Les propriétaires sont très réactifs. A recommander.

Superb Apartment in beautifil Tavira

We spent a wonderful ten days in this apartment and it felt so relaxing we really didn't want to leave. This was our second visit to this great apartment, it has everything that you need and is located close to the centre of beautiful Tavira. The apartment is modern, spacious, well equipped and comfortable. We made daily use of the delightful swimming pool, after swimming we enjoyed relaxing by the pool on the sun loungers available for our use. The location of the apartment is close to the centre of Tavira, so all the restaurants are within walking distance and great value for money, you really are spoilt for choice. There is also a large supermarket within walking distance that is well stocked, the seafood counter was particularly impressive. I would highly recommend this apartment as it has everything you need in a great location and we will definitely be booking again.

very spacious and modern

very comfortable stay, more than enough room for the 2 of us, very good amenities within the apartment, fantastic location in the middle of town. bedrooms on road side (not a busy road) was some minimal disturbance due to the bins being emptied at 2 am a couple of mornings. pool not heated but then the weather wasn't that hot

Worthwhile staying here

We have been to these apartments before and they continue to impress with location, dedicated underground parking and security in a relatively peaceful part of the town but still only a 5 minute walk to the centre.

The apartment was clean and well stocked with everything needed. Our flight was late (11.30pm) but we were met and greeted and shown how everything worked.

The apartment is an end one, so no-one ever has to walk past if you’re sitting out on the balcony. The only downside which spoiled the tranquility was a pet grey parrot in the apartment directly opposite and which was set outside in its cage all day. If you don’t mind loud fire alarm imitations, wolf whistles, dive bomb sounds and Swanee whistle noises, (or if you’re out exploring all day), it shouldn’t be a problem. The cuteness factor wore off pretty quick!

In saying that, it’s an apartment we would probably use again because of where it’s located and what it offers in proximity to the town. We have visited Tavira regularly over the past 10 years and have stayed in numerous places in and around the area. This apartment is in our Top 3!
