We thoroughly enjoyed our weeklong stay at Theresa's waterfront camp at Lake Eaton. Well-appointed and thoughtfully-prepared for our stay, this camp was a perfect relaxing spot for our family of four. Theresa was very responsive to all of our queries. We hiked, swam, kayaked and enjoyed exploring the area. The sound of loons on the lake and the wind through the pines surrounding the camp were particularly memorable. Many thanks for a wonderful stay!
We stayed at the cabin for a week in August. Having spent summers on lake eaton as children we were familiar with this property. It has been well maintained and offered everything needed for a comfortable week. We especially enjoyed the big fireplace to take the morning chill off and watching the morning mist lift from the lake to the sounds of the loons. The sunsets were spectacular! The town of Long Lake is close by for grocery shopping, etc.
We spent the week of the Fourth of July at the cabin on Lake Eaton and we could not have asked for anything more from a vacation rental!
The two main floor bedrooms were very comfortable and the sound of the pines in the breeze just makes for a great nights sleep. The upstairs sleeping area will hold an army of children and is a great rainy day play area. The kitchen is updated and has everything you will need, even black iron pans which I really enjoyed. The main room is classic Adirondack camp. A full wall fireplace on one end, dining area on the other and a set of chairs in front of windows that look out over the lake.
The outdoor area has plenty of parking, a lean to style shed to store outdoor chairs, etc and multiple places to hang the hammock. Our favorite spot was the deck overlooking the lake. There is also a dock that has deep water swimming access, a separate swimming area with shallow water and a beautiful boathouse with a pulley system from which to hang the kayaks.
After an active, yet restful week at Lake Eaton my wife and I agreed, this is a wonderful place to vacation!
