A beautifully stylish, comfortable apartment surrounded by gardens and with a shared swimming pool and communal tennis court, this is a real get away from it all holiday for either a group or a family.

A comfy living room with open plan dining/kitchen leads out on to a lovely terrace. There are two excellent size bedrooms. The first is a double and has a lovely shower room opposite. The second bedroom has an unusual feature of a free standing bath in the room as well as double wash basins and also has a large wet room, suitable for a party! The furnishings are stylish and modern yet the rooms retain an Umbrian farmhouse feel with arched and beamed ceilings. There is a real feeling of space and light. Although the apartment is part of a complex, it has its own garden and private terrace and there are large communal gardens so one feels very private. There is a lovely local supermarket, local bar with free wifi and petrol station within walking distance of the apartment. The main highway to either Tuscany or to the capital of Umbria, Perugia is a five minute drive away. However there is no highway noise where the apartment is situated. This area is perfect for those who wish to explore all the beautiful hilltop towns of Umbria such as Assissi, Montefalco, Spello, Gubbio and many more.

About Patrick

My wife was born in Covent Garden of Italian parents and as a consequence, speaks fluent Italian. Prior to buying, we had been travelling to various parts of Italy , with our 3 sons, for many years along with like minded friends. We decided to buy a holiday home in the Umbrian region because it is full of history, beauty and is very green, we found PROMANO.

Why Patrick chose Città di Castello

When buying the apartment we were influenced by the age and history of the original property but most importantly by the lovely vaulted ceiling originally used to hang meat and herbs, and is now a wonderful living space incorporating leisure, eating and cooking in a large comfortable area (where the cook can still socialise).

What makes this apartment unique

The area is very tranquil and the Umbrian people are warm and welcoming. Our local village has all the necessary shops and we have some gorgeous towns within easy driving distance. In creating the decor and furnishings everything was sourced locally or from the surrounding areas and combines contemporary with old. The apartment is part of a complex of buildings and has wonderful gardens. and a lovely pool.

  • The second bedroom has a beamed ceiling, a double bed, , but also 2 comfortable single pull outs, which are on where's. a large wardrobe. A toilet, shower and wash room is positioned directly across the corridor for this room. The large main bedroom, also has beamed ceilings, a large double bed, but also a unique stand alone roll top bath and washing facilities for two people, all with the room. Large wardrobe space and an off suite wet room and toilet are incorporated. Hairdryer available. Both of these rooms are positioned so that you are awaken by the sun each morning, but equipped with shutters if you need less light.

Great apartment & garden and fantastic location

The apartment is spacious, fully equiped and with beautiful details like an old vaulted ceiling, an impressive wood burning stove, a huge shower looking at the contryside, etc. It is a fantastic combination of old local farm and modern confort and aesthetics.

It also has a huge garden overlooking a beautiful and "hypnotic" ombrian landscape and a great swimming pool!

Grande propriété au calme

La maison n'est pas située à Citta di Castello comme on pourrait le croire à la lecture de l'annonce, mais à 13km du centre de la petite ville. On rejoint toutefois la ville assez rapidement grâce à une nationale ou à l'autoroute.

Les autres villes de Ombrie sont également facilement accessibles.

L'appartement est très spacieux et correspond parfaitement à la description. Il est également très bien équipé (LV, LL, congélateur, serviettes de plage, transats pour toute la famille, parasol pour l'extérieur, douche à l'italienne...). La literie est également d'excellente qualité.

Christine, qui gère la location, est très réactive lorsqu'on la sollicite et est soucieuse du bien-être des vacanciers.

La propriété est immense, mais seuls deux appartements ont été terminés, et on a un peu l'impression d'être dans une propriété "fantôme". La maison est très belle, mais il y manque une âme. Les travaux entrepris dans les autres appartements n'ont pas été terminés.
